Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Shows Off More Gameplay & Its Evolutions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Crash Bandicoot A massive gameplay dump for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is here and it shows off just how all these Crash Bandicoot titles have been fully updated More gameplay for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy that is coming to the PS4 on June 30th has just been dropped and it is another massive bit. We've had a few teases given out from Activision over the last few weeks, but here it looks like Vicarious Visions has opted to sit down and dole out close to a half-hour demo of the titles in the bundle and we all get to sit back and watch. It also looks like they didn't stick to just one title in the Crash Bandicoot franchise that will be part of this new bundled remaster, so there is a lot to take in on top of all of that. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of May 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Crash Bandicoot Two new videos for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy have popped up to give us a feel for how the original Crash Bandicoot games have been updated So far we've seen what the updates for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will look like and how some of the levels have been altered to handle better and not just look better. We are talking some very old games here that Vicarious Visions is bringing back to us and it isn't something as easy as a texture swap to get the levels and characters looking as they do on the PS4. Some gamers out there don't have a good frame of reference though for where Crash Bandicoot is coming from and what has truly gone into the update that Activision is bringing us. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of February 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Crash Bandicoot A release date for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has been set and it looks like June will be when we dive back into these three Crash Bandicoot titles in HD Get ready to clear some calendar space as the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has finally be given a release date to look forward to and that would be June 30th now. This would be the latest HD collection that Vicarious Visions has been remastering for Activision and it is coming for the PS4. While I know many gamers out there would have rather had a full and new Crash Bandicoot title, at least this is a start and a nice little slice of nostalgia for all of those hardcore fans of the IP as well as the PlayStation name. Review â Skylanders SuperChargers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of October 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
Skylanders We Sit Down And Review Skylanders SuperChargers. Does the addition of vehicles drive the franchise forward or just add more toys to the ever-growing shelf? Here's Our Review of Skylanders SuperChargers It's been another year and that means that it is time for more toys-to-life video games with the addition of Skylanders SuperChargers to the ever-growing franchise. Skylanders are back from Vicarious Visions and this time they have brought vehicles to mix things up and try to stop the evil lord Kaos in his tracks. Kaos and all of the other evil beings that seem to be under his employ or just trying to run amuck in the world of Skylands. Read More...

Skylanders SuperChargers Is Going Dark For Another Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2015 - 12:59 PM ]
A new Dark Edition has been announced for Skylanders Superchargers and it allows for more Kaos gameplay in the franchise In the last edition of Skylanders we had a cool Dark Edition as we had villains in tow and it looks like Skylanders SuperChargers is also going to be doing the same thing. As if adding in vehicles wasn't enough for Vicarious Visions it looks like they wanted to make sure we all had the option to play the "evil" versions when we finally get the game on September 20th. Before you get worried about it Skylanders Superchargers' Dark Edition will be available in starter pack form for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U versions of the game. No need to worry outside of being able to find the edition for sale anywhere. Read More...

E3 2015 Impressions â Skylanders SuperChargers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of June 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Was Able To See Skylanders SuperChargers In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It One of the guilty pleasures that I have had over the years have been seeing the next Skylanders title in action at E3 and this year was no slouch as Skylanders SuperChargers was on the scene and showing off all of the new hardware and story coming to the franchise. This would be the latest from Vicarious Visions that is bringing vehicles to the mix of Skylands and to bring down the Evil Lord Kaos and all of his Doom-machines. If you knew the franchise that explanation of Skylanders SuperChargers would make perfect sense but none the less we have new, or newish, characters and their vehicles that also brings new gameplay and we were on the scene to see what we can expect to be new to the franchise with Skylanders SuperChargers when it launches on September 20th on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, and 3DS. Skylanders SuperChargers Will Let Us Drive Evil Crazy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
A new Skylanders title is coming with full speed in the way of Skylanders SuperChargers which also adds vehicles to the mix of the game By this point I know I have been questioning where the Skylanders franchise might and can go. It started the toys-to-life genre of video games and others have tried to follow suit. It looks like Vicarious Visions and Activision are again pushing things forward a little bit with Skylanders SuperChargers. This would be the most recent title just announced which now adds vehicles to the video game world as well as to all of the 300+ Skylanders toys already available. Read More...

Review: Skylanders: Swap Force
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of October 2013 - 01:44 PM ]
It's time for the third installment of the Skylander franchise with Skylanders Swap Force. With it comes a new story, new levels, and new toys to be collected and used. Not to mention that these new toys also have a new mechanic both in the real world and in the game world. That being the ability to trade half of one toy with another and mix and match their powers and look. This is my first foray into the Skylanders franchise so let's see how well it went and if it is worth your time and money to invest in the franchise at this point in the game. The Story Kaos, the main villain who should just really be Invader Zim, is up to his evil plans again. Read More...

Review: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2009 - 04:33 PM ]
The Civil War saga in the Marvel universe has been one of the best stories to grace comic books in quite some time. It's a great story that is an allegorical commentary in the wake of 9/11 and The Patriot Act. In the storyline, a Superhuman, Nitro, goes nuclear in Stamford, Connecticut, killing hundreds during a reality TV show. A TV show that was like COPS but following the New Warriors. Once this happens, the US public demands that Superhumans answer for their actions and the Superhuman Registration Act is put in place forcing heroes to come out and show who they are. Read More...

Guitar Hero 5: The Obscure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 11:45 AM ]
First 24 Tracks For Guitar Hero 5 Maybe it's just me and not being totally up on my current music or even my older music, but to me it seems that Activision and Vicarious Visions are going with some of the more obscure songs from artists to drive players to the game. Some of the songs just announced for Guitar Hero 5 just don't ring a bell. Well actually quite a few of them don't. Artists I'm good with, but the selected songs just don't pop to mind. Read More...
