by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of October 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Gwent After a long stint in beta, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is now officially released and everyone can enjoy the final form of Gwent on their PC The time has come and now Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is officially launching out there on the PC and will be in beta no more. It is hard to think that it has been in this situation for so long, but it looks like CD Projekt RED has found their game to be ready for the free market out there. Even after so many professional Gwent events that have been run while still in its beta form. I will not knock it, but it seems a bit odd in general. Read More...

Learn The Basics On How To Play Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Gwent Since Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has undergone a few changes recently in the beta it may be time to relearn Gwent in preparation for its upcoming release Since the beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game kicked off last year we've seen a few things get changed up and reworked to make sure the game is at its best that it can be. It really is what CD Projekt RED is going for here instead of the usual demo hidden as a beta thing that most other companies go for when they really just want to hype a game or test their servers before launch. That all said, we've seen changes that some love and other disagree with but for those who are still not in or playing the beta currently, you may need a breakdown for how Gwent is played here as it is a bit different than its original inception back in The Witcher 3. You Too Can Create Your Own Cards For Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Gwent A new web app lets you build your own Gwent: The Witcher Card Game cards for fun or to use in your own Gwent decks for home use If you are such a fan of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game that even the beta isn't enough to hold you over until the full release then there is a new website just for you. A new site that lets you build your own cards for your own version of Gwent but not the one official one that CD Projekt RED is building for us. You probably just lost a little excitement here but at least this Gwent Editor will allow you to build some custom decks just for personal use or just entertainment. Read More...

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Is Shaking Up Player Progression A Bit Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Gwent A new player progression system is coming to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game with the next patch update and it aims to mix up the Gwent leveling system in a good way If you are already playing in the Gwent: The Witcher Card Game beta then get ready to see things get changed up a bit yet again. Of course this is something we should always be ready for when in a beta and especially here as CD Projekt RED is looking to give us the best version of this little game that they can and are not married to many of the gameplay designs yet. This is a good thing before you get on a high horse about your Gwent never staying the same. Read More...

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's Player Progression Has Been Explained A Bit More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of November 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Gwent New details on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's player progression system have been revealed and it looks like players who can't play Gwent non-stop won't be penalized too much The closed beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is fully underway and has been for some time. Maybe you made it in or maybe you didn't. Either way that doesn't mean that there aren't some sweet card battles going on and that CD Projekt RED isn't taking all of the feedback given to help make this title the best version it can be. I personally thought that what we had in the original mini-game of Gwent was amazing but this full version is adding on a lot of extras to make it more than just a card game and something we all want to keep progressing through at the end of the day. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's Closed Beta Has Been Delayed But Dated
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Gwent The closed beta date for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has been pushed off from the original timeline but now we have a solid date for Gwent's closed beta now I hope you weren't sitting around waiting to find out the specific date in September you might be able to give Gwent: The Witcher Card Game a play. If you were then you are going to be let down or left wanting as CD Projekt RED has just stated that they are going to have to delay the closed beta of the game and, most likely, the final release as well. At least it is safe to assume that the full release of Gwent will also be hit with the same delay as I am sure they are going to want to make sure they can get as much testing in before it goes to market; especially based on their reasons for the delay. E3 Hands On — Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Gwent While at E3 I was able to see Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. We all demanded it and not we are getting Gwent: The Witcher Card Game as a standalone title to play and experience outside of the core game that spawned it. Of course CD Projekt RED could have taken the easy way out and just ported the basic game over to appease the fans but instead they went all out and brought a fully redesigned version of the game for us. The core mechanics are still there but this version of Gwent has a lot more to offer than just fun times and collecting cards. Read More...
