by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of January 2014 - 06:38 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains. It's The First Episode But Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? I've finally had time to digest the events of the first episode of the second season of The Walking Dead from Telltale. It's been over a year coming and we now get to see what happens to the adorable little Clementine and the survivors of the previous season even though those numbers were running pretty low at the end. So let's jump in and see if the wait was worth it. If there seems to be description missing that is due to trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of October 2013 - 10:21 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season 2 Gets Its First Trailer We've all probably played through Telltale's The Walking Dead at least three times now. That is the minimum I have heard from most of my associates any ways. One of the burning questions since the story came to its conclusion has been 'when is season 2 coming out?' Well, we still don't know but it has to be close now as we finally got something out of Telltale. It's a teaser more than anything, but if you glance below you can see the official reveal trailer for The Walking Dead's second season. Read More...

Review: The Wolf Among Us - Episode One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of October 2013 - 06:49 PM ]
Just as with Telltale's last blockbuster title, The Walking Dead, we have another new 'point and click' storytelling adventure with The Wolf Among Us. It also looks like they have found a winning combination and Telltale is going to try and capitalize on it. The real question is: Can they do it again? Well, I'll be breaking it down as the new episodes release so keep an eye out. Also, if it sounds like I am being ambiguous in my phrasing that is due to me not trying to spoil the story. The Wolf Among Us Preview
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 31st of May 2013 - 04:35 PM ]
Last year Telltale games received multiple Game Of The Year rewards for their work on their episodic game series The Walking Dead. Now Telltale is returning with their follow up The Wolf Among Us. The Wolf Among Us is based on the Fables comic book series written by Bill Willingham. Fables is about famous fairy tale characters that come to live in our world when their homeland is threatened by an evil entity called The Adversary. The Fairy tales have moved to our world in an attempt to hide from The Adversary and create a safe haven in New York. Much like the comic Fabletown is where the Characters keep their true self’s hidden from the people of the real world. Read More...

Review: Poker Night At The Inventory 2 (PSN)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of May 2013 - 09:48 PM ]
It's been a while since we've had a good card game on the PSN. Now, after a little over 2 years, we have the sequel to Poker Night At The Inventory hitting the PSN. It is aptly named Poker Night At The Inventory 2 for those who can't seem to keep up. It was released on every other platform about a week earlier, but I had the opportunity to give it a go when it hit the PS3. Here's what I thought. Hated Oh my gods the loading LAG in the game. New Poker Night From Telltale
by [ Thursday, 4th of April 2013 - 07:09 PM ]
Big news in the world of witty cross-over card game simulators. Telltale Games has recently announced that Poker Night at the Inventory is getting a sequel. According to the Telltale's website, “Poker Night 2 is the unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory! In the original game you played poker with a bunch of weirdoes for fame and fortune Team Fortress 2 items and the satisfaction of beating the odds.” The original game had you playing against Max from Sam&Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Tycho from Penny Arcade. This time around you will be able to play against Max’s partner Sam, Claptrap from Borderlands, Brock Sampson from Venture Brothers, and Ash Williams from Evil Dead. Read More...

Mini-Review: The Walking Dead - Episode 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of September 2012 - 10:07 PM ]
Just like before, I won't be starting with the basics this time. If you want that, check out our review of the second episode of The Walking Dead. That should get you up to speed so you can dive right into episode three. So without further adieu. Story Just as before the story picks up shortly after the events of the last episode. This time supplies are not just running short, but some are going missing and there looks to be someone signaling the bandits introduced in the last episode. Tensions run higher than ever and the group is forced to leave their base camp. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead: Episode 1
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 26th of April 2012 - 10:02 PM ]
Developed and Published by Telltale Games this episodic game takes place within The Walking Dead universe. While some characters share the names of those in the comic and TV show, it is a whole new story. The Walking Dead is a point and click game with "precision" quick-time events. Instead of simply hitting a button you have to aim in a specific spot and then hit a button. I sat down to play The Walking Dead expecting a quick little hour or so session but I soon found myself sucked in to the characters and their story. I actually finished the game in one session. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 25th of March 2012 - 06:29 PM ]
We recently were given a look at The Walking Dead's game play via Telltale's debut trailer but it wasn't much more than a few seconds. A few seconds of very little compared to what the latest episode of Playing Dead has to show us. While the episode is about 15 minutes long, if you jump to the 7 minute mark you will get a glimpse at about 3 minutes of the game. Spoiler, it looks like it handles just as one would expect from Telltale. Take a watch. Read More...
