See How A Goblin Is Made Here For Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of February 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx A new developer diary for Styx: Shards Of Darkness shows off a bit more of the game as well as how Styx has been evolved since the last game and beyond If Styx: Shards Of Darkness will be your first foray with this little goblin then A, you are missing out, and B, you need a crash course in who this little goblin is and how he has been crafted for the game and how he has evolved since. It would be odd if Cyanide Studios left him in the past and didn't use all of the new hardware and game to further show off this amazing character and while they are odd, they are not that odd. This is why we have a new developer diary of sorts to show off Styx in his new light as well as to get to know his personality a bit more and just to enjoy another great IP that is coming out of Focus Home Interactive. Styx: Shards Of Darkness Is Almost Here To Teach The Art Of Stealth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of January 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Styx A new cinematic trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has released and it shows off a bit of Styx's stealth tactics and mayhem he can create in the process We are all still waiting for a solid release date for Styx: Shards Of Darkness as March is still the only part of the date still set out there but that doesn't mean that the videos and fun have to stop. Of course not and that is just what Cyanide Studios has brought us here yet again for the game with a new trailer aimed to highlight the thing we know Styx is good at; Stealth. I mean, his last title was named Master Of Shadows and with a name like that, not to mention how the game actually played, stealth was his strong suit and I know I was able to put it to some amazing use from start until the end. Styx Has A Few New Tricks In Styx: Shards Of Darkness To Show Off
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of December 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx Another gameplay trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been released and this one shows off a few more of the tricks Styx has picked up since the last game I know I can never seem to get enough Styx: Shards Of Darkness and it looks like we have even more to sate some of our needs until March of next year when we can play the full game. I just love this little guy that Cyanide Studios has created for us and he only seems to get better with each new video and showcasing we get to see. Especially when we get to see a lot of the new tricks of the trade that Styx is bringing with the next title. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of December 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more week of video games in the bag and many more to go. Hells, this one still isn't fully over yet as we are still reeling from all of the new stuff that came out of The Game Awards that was mixed into all the general news out there. Not only that but also PSX is this weekend and we are hopefully going to see more for Resident Evil 7 out there and maybe Hellblade. Just to name a few titles and such but as we saw there are still many more. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of November 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have released and it looks like Styx may be taking to the skies of Korrangar in the upcoming sequel We all know that Styx: Shards Of Darkness will have us venturing into some dark caves and dungeons to murder our way to some sweet, sweet Amber out there. Now it looks like more of the world is opening up to us as we will be taking to the skies in Cyanide Studios' sequel to the small hit. At least that is what it looks like from the new screenshots we have here for Shards Of Darkness that show off Korrangar in the game and Styx being up to his usual tomfoolery. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Has Been Delayed But We Have New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of October 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx Delays have hit Styx: Shards Of Darkness until next year but with it comes a new look at Styx and some of the upgrades that will be coming with this game It looks like my worries were true as it looks like Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been delayed until Q1 of 2017. I thought this might happen as we got closer to the original timeline that Cyanide Studios wanted to hit but as we had not heard much on the development of the game before now it was looking like a delay was inevitable. Not to tragic of news for a lot of gamers I know as Styx has been more of an underground kind of game already, pun intended, but as the team has been upgrading to the Unreal 4 engine for this game they and Focus Home Interactive though the delay was needed and I am going to side on this for sure. Now that the downer news is over here, let's move onto a bit of the new stuff for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...

E3 2016 Impressions â Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Styx While at E3 I was able to see Styx: Shards Of Darkness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Styx: Shards Of Darkness One of the other smaller titles on the floor at E3 that I was excited for was Styx: Shards Of Darkness. This would be the sequel to one of the smaller cult classic titles that Cyanide Studios gave us back in 2014. It is a fun little stealth action title that builds off the story of Styx: Master Of Shadows and from the looks of things builds off the expanded power of the Unreal Engine that they just didn't have before. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait as the game is still slated to launch later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

Styx Is On The Run In The Latest Shards Of Darkness Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of June 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx The E3 trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been release and it shows off a lot of the fun that Styx will be having while killing Moving away from the larger E3 video game teases and announcements it looks like we have a new trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness to gaze upon. I know that this game will be shown off a bit more in detail by Cyanide Studios during the convention but as it will most likely be behind closed doors leading up to then, this is most likely all we will have for now. None the less we will have more on Styx: Shards Of Darkness here after the expo but this is what we have for now. Just rest assured that we'll have a whole lot before its release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime this year. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Adds A Mess Of New Enemies To Hunt Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of May 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have been released and they showcase some of the new dangerous enemies Styx will have to take on or avoid in the game I was pretty sure we were going to have to wait until E3 to get more on Styx: Shards Of Darkness but it looks like we don't have to. Of course that is where the bulk of what Cyanide Studios has to offer us will be shown but at least for now it looks like we are getting a small update. In this case it is a few new screenshots for the game as well as some descriptions of the horrible monsters and enemy factions that Styx will have to kill or avoid along the way to his next big score. The World Of Styx: Shards Of Darkness Looks Even Larger Than Before
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of February 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have been released and it looks like Styx is going to be traversing some very large areas in his next major title If you thought that Styx had a large world to explore in the first game then it should be no surprise that Styx: Shards Of Darkness will be just as big; if not bigger. It would be a step in the wrong direction for Cyanide Studios to not up their game with bigger and more detailed environments to sneak through and murder those pesky humans and elves. Those jerks. This Week In Video Games 10/12/15 â 10/16/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of October 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It has been one of "those" weeks in video games hasn't it? I personally blame it all on the releases of the current video games and the news of other major video games like Friday The 13th and Styx that keeps all of the other news as fluff and filler instead of anything solid. I mean we do have Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3, Halo 5, and Fallout 4 releasing as well but when we have other great titles out there already why waste the shelf space now for when we can wait until there is nothing else in the limelight? Ah video games… Speaking of all of those video games in the lime light right now, outside of the below list of video games in the news to read through we are still working on a few reviews for titles that have already released or will be releasing in the coming weeks. Yes, you read that right. Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive are bringing Styx back next year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays From All Your Game Devs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
We've collected some of the random virtual Christmas Cards and holiday well wishes from developers and publishers for you Ho ho homicide has to have been one of the best Christmas greetings I have yet to see from a video game studio or publisher this holiday season and I've seen quite a few over the last few days. Tis the season that all of those who make our favorite form of media to try and give back to all of those who keep their families fed. Or at least try to for those who are most likely going to cry and whine to their parents if they didn't get the latest Blizzard expansion or the pre-orders for all of those games coming out next year. This Week In Video Games 10/20/14 â 10/24/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games I am glad this week in video games is over. Not for any particular reason outside of getting to play all those video games that we've been writing about and covering her eon the site. Even though the review for Styx: Master Of Shadows went live this week I see myself diving back in just for fun and trophy clean up. Need to get as many of those as I can before the PlayStation Experience hits and all. I want to be able to have a higher level to brag about while mixing it up with everyone else who will be attending. Read More...
