Review: WWE 13
by Greg Tatterfield [ Monday, 12th of November 2012 - 11:24 PM ]
The long running wrestling series from THQ is back again with WWE 13. The game features some an updated roster with and a bunch of improvements. Let's start off with the negative points. Hated: There is not much I hated about WWE 13. There were only a few issues that I had with the game. Let's start off with the new single player mode Attitude Mode. Attitude mode lets you relive the best know period in WWE history from 1995 to 2000. The main issue that I had with this mode was the fact that it was so repetitive. Read More...

Review: Need For Speed Most Wanted
by Greg Tatterfield [ Wednesday, 7th of November 2012 - 09:37 PM ]
Need For Speed Most Wanted marks the second Need For Speed developed by Criterion. Most Wanted is a re-imaging of one the best received entry in the long running series. How does the new game hold up? Find out in my review. Hated: Perhaps what I hated most about Most Wanted is the fact that it just does not feel like Need For Speed anymore. Most Wanted resembles Burnout more then Need For Speed. I felt like they just took Need For Speed and just turned it into a Burnout Paradise sequel with cops. Read More...

Review: Serious Sam 3: BFE
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 6th of November 2012 - 06:59 PM ]
I'm terribly sorry that this review is finally seeing the light of day. It's just I have been getting my teeth kicked in trying to beat Serious Sam 3: BFE. Where do I start with Serious Sam 3? There is so much to talk about and only so much of your patience so I’m going to dive right in to the goods. This is what a First Person Shooter should be. An insane amount of enemies and destruction? Read More...

Review: Silent Hill: Book Of Memories
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of November 2012 - 11:41 PM ]
So it's been a while since I've had a good reason to pick up my Vita. Then I got Silent Hill: Book Of Memories and found a reason. So I packed up to go see Silent Hill: Revelation and broke out the game. Does it hold up for the franchise and really give you all a reason to dust off your Vitas? Let's find out. The Story: Hey, it's your lucky day and you receive an amazing book that details EVERYTHING that has ever happened in your avatar's life. I mean everything. Read More...

Review: Silent Hill: Revelation 3D
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of November 2012 - 06:58 PM ]
It's been six years since we got the damn decent video game movie Silent Hill. Now we fans can rejoice as Silent Hill: Revelation is here. Given the down time we should expect something along the same quality correct? Well I got to check it out, so if you are on the fence about seeing it yourself, let me give you a nudge one way or another. The Story: Years after the events of Silent Hill we follow the tale of Heather and Harry Mason, or as you might remember them Sharon and Christopher Da Silva. They are on the run for reasons to be revealed in the film. Read More...

Review: Wreck-It Ralph
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of October 2012 - 10:41 PM ]
For the last few months we've all been bombarded with ads and trailers for Disney's upcoming Wreck-It Ralph. A film that looks like it will do to video games what Toy Story did to toys. But how well is the question? Well sit back and enjoy our review of Wreck-It Ralph. The Story: 'Wreck-It' Ralph is the villain of a 'retro' game in an arcade who is pretty much crapped on for being the villain. He hates it. Who wouldn't? Read More...

Review: Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken
by Kenton Winkfield [ Monday, 22nd of October 2012 - 10:01 PM ]
The first time I heard the name Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, I immediately thought to myself, “Oh God, what am I getting into.” Once again I am not disappointed. Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken is a platformer/shooter like that of the golden age. Combining beautiful backdrops, stimulating puzzles, and fast-paced firefights, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken gives just enough challenge to keep any player entertained and on edge. The story Follows Hardboiled Chicken, The Cock of War, must rise against Putski, the evil penguin dictator. I couldn’t make that up if I wanted to. Read More...

Review: World Of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 11th of October 2012 - 11:06 PM ]
Mists of Pandaria is World of Warcraft's fourth expansion since its beginning in 2004. Featuring over 1,800 achievements, a new race, a new class, a whole new continent to explore and much more. Mists of Pandaria was released back in September and I'm finally writing up a review for it, simply because I have experience enough of the expansion to finally give it a worthwhile review. So the level cap has been increased five levels. While that might not seem much, the ramp up from 85 to 90 is enormous. Read More...

Review: Borderlands 2
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 27th of September 2012 - 05:06 PM ]
I first experienced Borderlands 2 at PAX East, where I got to play the demo and see some of the new features it had to offer. Five months later, I am running through the game with the excitement of a little boy picking out his presents at a toy store. Borderlands 2 takes players into (or back into) Pandora to take on a new evil, who in turn is trying to resurrect an old evil. The journey will require skill, determination, allies, and guns. Lots of guns. Read More...

Review: Drinking Quest
by Fred Buell [ Friday, 21st of September 2012 - 11:46 PM ]
Drinking Quest is a game type that is not typically reviewed here, but it's one that definitely fits our gamer requirement and I think it's time we bring in the table-top gamers and video gamers into one niche. With that out of the way, Drinking Quest is a game that seamlessly blends your traditional table-top RPG and drinking games inside of a card game with various subtle references to pop culture from over the years. You can choose one of four characters each with various stats, weapon proficiencies, and a special ability card. There are four "quests" to a game and the hero with the most XP wins the game. Review: Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of September 2012 - 04:05 PM ]
Here we go with another Transformers game. They are seriously coming out like Call Of Duty titles now. One every year and hey why not, obviously we like them enough to line the pockets of the developer's and publisher's pockets with greenbacks. So how does Transformers: Fall of Cybertron fair? Let's see. Story The Autobots are serious in trying to leave Cybertron this time around and are getting there Ark ready to go. Wouldn't you know it that those damned Decepticons want to stop them and do a great job at it. Read More...

Review: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - Hearthfire
by Irene Collazo [ Monday, 10th of September 2012 - 10:00 PM ]
I gave Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC approximately 25 hours of my life this past weekend. Considering all of the not-so-sure attitudes towards it, I gave it a try. Once I started my game I did a bit of running around Skyrim. Finally, an 80% naked courier approached me to propose a message from the Jarl of Farkreath stating that I could buy land in that area. There are a total of three plots of land you can purchase from Farkreath, Dawnstar, or Morthal. You can get all three if you would like. Read More...

Mini-Review: The Walking Dead - Episode 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of September 2012 - 10:07 PM ]
Just like before, I won't be starting with the basics this time. If you want that, check out our review of the second episode of The Walking Dead. That should get you up to speed so you can dive right into episode three. So without further adieu. Story Just as before the story picks up shortly after the events of the last episode. This time supplies are not just running short, but some are going missing and there looks to be someone signaling the bandits introduced in the last episode. Tensions run higher than ever and the group is forced to leave their base camp. Read More...

by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 15th of August 2012 - 04:50 PM ]
Alright guys, welcome to Aggrogamer's new monthly (weekly?) segment called "The Old School" where we play the classics of yesteryear and past generations and review them. Since this is new, it is also subject to change and I'm giving that power to you guys. Would you rather keep the "review" style or go for a "Play through / Walkthrough" style with commentary? We're also taking suggestions for the next game we do. Leave a comment below to let us know. Read More...
