Great Games Under $30
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 7th of November 2011 - 12:16 PM ]
Are you bored? Tired of playing that new game you just got because it didn't live up to its hype? Got some extra cash? Well then, you're in luck. I've made a list of some really good games under $30. First up we got Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. The final Guitar Hero went out with a bang, featuring one of the best heavy metal and rock set lists I've ever seen as well as some really cool power ups. Warriors Of Rock has the first story line in a Guitar Hero game. While it's certainly not the best it is still very enjoyable; especially the final battle against The Beast. Read More...

Making Of Skyrim - Behind The Wall
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 4th of November 2011 - 01:02 PM ]
As you can tell with just a little over a week left until The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is released. I'm a little excited. Ok… I can't wait for this game. There is a lot that's coming down the pipe recently from Bethesda Studios and we recently got a look at the behind the scenes and the making of Skyrim. What you're about to watch is called "The making of Skyrim - Behind the Wall." It is a short documentary from Bethesda Studios about the making of Skyrim. Read More...

Rainbow 6 Patriots Officially Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of November 2011 - 06:45 PM ]
As if we all didn't expect this, Ubisoft is doing yet another Tom Clancy title. This one has the moniker Rainbow 6 Patriots. From the bit that has been gleaned from the announcement and game's site it looks like a well trained and organized revolutionary group has come to the conclusion that (*Gasp*) the American government is corrupt. They want to bring everything back to zero and "reclaim" the country for their own ideals. Your job will be to of course stop them if all goes the same as usual for this kind of storyline. Skyrim Artists Release Podcast And Concept Art
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 3rd of November 2011 - 01:49 PM ]
The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim is just around the corner and the Bethesda artists have taken to the web and are giving us a look at what goes into (conceptually) creating the world of Skyrim. Also a podcast with some excellent commentary, Completely Blue Sky: The Art Of Skyrim is a must listen for any Elder Scrolls fan. "(Adam) Adamowicz, a Bethesda veteran, was joined by his friend (Ray) Lederer in the fall of 2008. The two have known each other for over a decade, putting them very clearly on the same page in both art and attitude. Read More...

Grand Theft Auto V Now Has It's Trailer...Straight Outta Vinewood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of November 2011 - 01:40 PM ]
The wait is now over GTA fans. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V can be seen below in all of its glory. At least in the glory of having a trailer that really doesn't tell us much. Outside of heavy hints at a Los Angeles-type setting and a time period of being current. But hey, it is better than just having a tweet that said the game was coming. We all get to see that the game is in full production and not just some pre-production limbo for now. I, for one, was wishing that Rockstar would have deviated from the normal GTA staples and gone outside of the box - at least in the realm of game world. Read More...

Trailer Park (11/1/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 1st of November 2011 - 06:39 PM ]
Alright it's time for the next installment to "Trailer Park". This time I have a few new trailers lined up for you guys. I hope you all enjoy. Our first trailer today is a new "grind house style" trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture's new game: Lollipop Chainsaw. The trailer features the cliché grind house voice over guy and a scantily clad cheerleader named "Juliet Starling" who just happens to be the main character. Lollipop Chainsaw follows Juliet and her family as they fight off hordes of mindless zombies in her high school. The horde of zombies are controlled by a group of "rock and roll" zombies. Trailer Park (10/24/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 24th of October 2011 - 07:09 PM ]
Blizzard has released a new cinematic trailer for Diablo III featuring some very scary atmosphere and demons. The new trailer also shows off some of the story we can expect in Diablo III, such as Asmodon trying to acquire the Black Soulstone to rule as the true prime evil. If my memory serves me correct there are seven prime evils and in Diablo II we killed three of them: Mephisto, Diablo and Baal. The trailer also shows us a new character, who I believe is Deckard Cain's niece, whose name I do not know at this point. But enough of my rambling, enjoy the trailer. Read More...

Mists Of Pandaria Is The Next WoW Expansion
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 21st of October 2011 - 05:16 PM ]
What started out as an April fool's joke has just turned into something far more serious. That's right folks; Mists of Pandaria is the new expansion to World of Warcraft. Blizzard said that they would be turning out expansions for World of Warcraft a lot sooner than they did in the past. Before there was an expansion about once every two years. But Cataclysm has only been out for about twelve months, so I guess Blizzard held up their promises. Anyways, the new trailer shows off the land of Pandaria, a place highly influenced by Asian culture and architecture. Read More...

Tribes: Ascend Closed Beta Is Just Around The Corner *UPDATE*
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 10th of October 2011 - 06:02 PM ]
According to an interview with Todd Harris the COO of Hi-Rez Studios has announced a closed beta for Tribes: Ascend will begin November 4th! The confirmation came during an interview with Cyberlink. I got my hands-on with Tribes: Ascend at this year's Quakecon: 2011 and it is as close to the original that any game could get. Large 16 multiplayer maps, armor and weapon load outs and a disc-launcher that would make any FPS proud. The biggest hook is that this is team based combat and it really shows on these large maps. So What Did You Think About Rage?
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 10th of October 2011 - 02:23 PM ]
Now that Id Software's new IP is out, what do you guys think about it?I was thoroughly impressed with the demo Id showed off earlier this year at PAX East and eagerly waited for its release in August, but sadly it was pushed back to October. I was perfectly ok with that since I knew the finished product was going to blow my mind into oblivion, but I guess it is safe to say that I'm slightly disappointed. Now don't get me wrong, Rage is still a fun game for me to play, but I was expecting a lot more. I guess the hype got my head in the clouds. Read More...

If you are in here reading this now, you are either a fan of Batman: Arkham City and want to see new screen shots or you are one of those people who get off to comic book porn. Dead Island The Movie... Do We Need It?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2011 - 02:44 PM ]
Do we need yet another zombie film? Or even better, another zombie film based on a video game? I mean are the Resident Evil films not enough for us? If you answered along the lines of "Yes, give me another zombie film based on a video game." then I have some good news for you. Lionsgate has just announced that they have optioned the film rights to Dead Island the movie. Yea… I think… I am being a little hasty here though. It looks like the reason has been optioned is all based around the concept of the first trailer we were given back in February of this year. Read More...

What To Expect In Diablo III?
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 26th of September 2011 - 06:02 PM ]
"My old weary bones ache in the chilly midnight air, as if they try to warn me of something evil lurking within the shadows. It has been twenty years since the heroes of Sanctuary have slain Diablo and his brothers; Baal and Mephisto. I have watched as the minds of these heroes slowly go insane from the horrors they have experienced, and those who still have their sanity cowardly choose to deny the truth, stating that they were only fables they made up for fame and fortune. As I sit here alone in the tavern, the townsfolk blissfully enjoy their festivities unknown to them that evil always returns. I shall wait here for new heroes to rise up and face these challenges, but I fear it might be too late, for evil never sleeps. Read More...

The Old Republic Has A Date
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 26th of September 2011 - 10:02 AM ]
I woke up this morning (9/24) around 10 AM and I did my usual rounds across the internet: Facebook, Pwned, YouTube. I then checked my email and whats on top in my inbox? "Mail from The Old Republic Community - The announcement you've been waiting for" Huh, seems interesting. Curiosity drives me to see what is inside this email. I rejoice to find the release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic - one of the most anticipated MMO's of all time. Star Wars: The Old Republic comes out on December 20th, 2011 - mark your calendars, sell your kidneys and start working on a second job. Read More...
