So What Is Up With The Story Of F.3.A.R.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of April 2011 - 02:04 PM ]
It has been a bit since we've had some good and solid updates for F.3.A.R. I guess it is time to get another look and a story trailer. Thank you Warner Bros. and Day 1 Studios for giving us just that. STORY TIME! Looks like someone has some serious "mommy issues." Not to mention that they look to have lead to some even deeper and twisted results besides becoming a man-whore. That's what happens isn't it? Like the opposite of a girl having "daddy issues? Rift Releases Dynamic Content Update Less Than 30 Days After Launch
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 1st of April 2011 - 11:40 AM ]
Well that was quick! Rift, the latest MMO by Trion Worlds and SyFy channel has been out for less than a month and already we are getting a major content release from them. On March 30th, Alsbeth began her reign of terror on Telara, and it ain't pretty. The latest content release actually is a multi-tier event.  The first phase of the event is going on right now, and the second event begins April 9th.  After that we will see the next phase and the opening of the newest Raid Zone: River of Souls at the end. Cutting Wires And Fisticuffs In Battlefield 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of March 2011 - 04:44 PM ]
So here we go with the third "episode" of game play trailers for Battlefield 3. This time it would seem a basic "disarm a bomb" task goes a little awry and turns into an all out shoot and destroy everything mission. Who would have thought that following a wire into an enemy "hideout" would turn into such madness and violence? I do have to say that out of all of these clips, this one impresses me the most with visuals. The immersion factor, even for just being a video, was cranked up because of the lighting and textures of the vents and underground room. Read More...

Hunted Gets A New Game Play Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 31st of March 2011 - 01:40 PM ]
It's dangerous to go hunting alone and in the latest game play video from Bethesda and inXile entertainments Hunted: The Demon Forge I wouldn't want to be out there by myself anyways. One of the best things in this video is that we finally get to hear some of the awesome voice over work we have all come to love from Bethesda Studios. Not to mention at the beginning of this month it was announced that Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) would breathe life into the seductive temptress Seraphine. I think the voice acting work is best highlighted at the end of the video where we can see our dynamic duo bantering back and forth. Read More...

CCP Brings Us The Future Of Online Gaming
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 31st of March 2011 - 11:33 AM ]
So I saw something this week that not very many people get to see these days. I saw the future. A specific future if you really want to get technical. I saw the future of EVE Online and it looks amazing. Check out the video below! You probably are sitting there with your mouth open, thinking to yourself "what the hell did I just watch?" This is CCP (the creators of EVE Online) utilizing in game footage and showing us what they think the future of gaming will be with Dust 514. The video is a dramatization of what CCP is striving to make online gaming in the future and what they just might achieve. Read More...

Finally We Get To Play As Umbrella In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
by Andy [ Wednesday, 30th of March 2011 - 05:38 PM ]
So it would seem just like Resident Evil 4, Capcom is looking for another way to package its older titles for us all to purchase again. Only this time it is RE2 and RE3…but from the point of view of Umbrella. Now this could be a little interesting, minus the fact that you should be destined to lose from the start. Here is a teaser for the title that is slated for this winter. It's not all that much, but it does have a bit of game footage and it shows Leon being introduced again. Read More...

Dungeon Siege III Katarina Video
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 30th of March 2011 - 02:01 PM ]
Dungeon Siege III is a little more than two months away and I can hardly contain my excitement. We recently got a video highlighting the latest ally that will be available in game and this girl is fierce. Katarina Vignette is a ranged death dealing machine and the third ally to be announced. Trained in the ways of nomads, she uses Guns, Magic and a black hound to pretty much eviscerate her enemies. The 10th legion did well when they recruited her. Expect some awesome pistol play, and some very cool shotgun animations, which are really highlighted in the following video. Read More...

From Padawan To Jedi Knight In The Old Republic
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 30th of March 2011 - 11:57 AM ]
Armor progression is probably one of the most important factors in MMO's to date. It establishes your identity, your rank, your skill and possibly your luck, all just because your robe of +10 to "sexterity" is harder to get than anyone else. Star Wars: The Old Republic has given us a quick look into armor progression of the Jedi Knight and all I can say is "the force is strong with this one." What makes this video so entertaining is we can compare the armor differences between the two sub-classes of Jedi Knight, the Jedi Guardian and the Jedi Sentinel. You want to be a one-handed-force-wielding-tank-and-spank-bad-ass? Read More...

How Will You Play Deus Ex?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of March 2011 - 06:41 PM ]
Want to see how you can change things up in Deus Ex: Human Revolution when it comes to play style? Then here is a video for you. If not, then why the hells did you even click into the article here? I mean seriously? Did you just want to see if there was something new to troll on or bitch about? Because we all know I save that kind of stuff for the middle or end of my writings; some of the time. For those who came here looking for those above mentioned play styles, look below at the video. It shows three different ways that you can tackle the mission set forth. Read More...

Duke Nukem Delayed Again: Much Shorter This Time
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 24th of March 2011 - 05:51 PM ]
Duke Nukem Forever being delayed again is like a nerd with a pocket protector - you know the joke, everyone knows the joke and the best you can muster is a half-hearted smile in one corner of your mouth in recognition the joke even existed. So, the fact 2K and Gearbox went with a more tongue-in-cheek approach to the announcement shows a true effort in good faith to the game and the franchise as a whole. June 14th is not that much longer to wait and I'm certain the extra time will be used wisely. Duke Nukem Forever will be released on XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Read More...

Prey 2 Live Action Trailer
by Corey Dockendorf [ Saturday, 19th of March 2011 - 03:57 PM ]
Bethesda Softworks announced this week Prey 2, and the teaser will make you think twice about putting your cell phone on airplane mode. Prey, which was released back in July of 2006, was originally developed by Human Head Studios. Prey followed the sci-fi adventures of Cherokee Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi. The general story was that he, along with Girlfriend and Grandfather, were beamed up to an alien ship known only as The Sphere. The Sphere has this whole Galactacus complex, as it devours all materials, living or inanimate from our tiny blue planet. Read More...

Here Comes Episode 2 Of The Battlefield 3 Fault Line Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2011 - 07:29 PM ]
Man, if the title of these shorts for Battlefield 3 had not been set to Fault Line before the natural disaster in Japan I would say, "Way to piggy back off the suffering of others EA." But that is not the case as the previous "episode" came out two weeks ago. Way to dodge that huge insensitivity, am I right?1 Continuing on… Here we have a bit more of the game play for Battlefield 3 and this time the soldiers are dodging a sniper. This looks like an interesting addition to the normal run and gun here but I am curious on how this sniper can't get these guys. Read More...

The E.Nigmas Of Batman: Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2011 - 02:38 PM ]
In Batman: Arkham Asylum the Riddler had kind of a small role, even though it was one of the larger side missions in the game. It makes sense when you think about the fact that he didn't physically show up at all in the game. This looks like something that Rocksteady is going to be changing when it comes to Arkham City. At least from the new screens shown below. It is also explained that there will be more than just item collecting missions set forth by the Riddler this time. Read More...

The Softer Side Of [Prototype 2]...Kind Of
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of March 2011 - 06:00 PM ]
I don't know what it is about trailers like the one below for [Prototype 2], but I find them fun even though they don't really show off much. I think it is the violent content set to easy listening music that I find just awesomely funny. That's a word isn't it? Awesomely. It is for my purposes now if you don't think it is. Continuing on, here is yet another tease for the game that is still slated for a 2012 release. It pretty much shows Sergeant James Heller toss a Blackwatch guard across the city and we get to watch the slow motion flight. Read More...
