Two Characters Fully Revealed For Mortal Kombat X⦠& Goro
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of January 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X shows off two characters, Kitana & Kung Lao, as well as a tease for the pre-order bonus We all kind of knew that Kung Lao was coming to Mortal Kombat X when early shots from a gaming magazine hit the web at the beginning of this year. Now we have a new gameplay trailer and we get to see not only Kung Lao in action but the return of Kitana in this next iteration of the franchise. She is another character that I figured would be gracing us again in Mortal Kombat X but now we have the official showing as well as the ability to see her in action. That includes at least a small look at one of her new fatalities for Mortal Kombat X. Read More...

Kung Lao Confirmed For Mortal Kombat X Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On â Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Was Able Beat People To Death. Here's What I Thought Of The Game There was no new character for Mortal Kombat X announced nor was there an exclusive character just for the PS3/PS4 mentioned at the PlayStation Experience but the latest build was available for us all to play. This included all characters, levels, variations, and moves that have been seen up until the Quan Chi announcement. That was a hefty bit if I do say so but it was well under 50% of what it looks like we will be getting in the final version of Mortal Kombat X. Read More...

Announced during a presentation at NYCC a Mortal Kombat X comic book was announced to be coming from DC Entertainment We still have to wait until April 14th of 2015 to get our hands on Mortal Kombat X but we may only have a few months to wait to start getting some of the new story for the game and its new characters. It was announced at NYCC that DC Entertainment is working on a Mortal Kombat X comic book that will cover all the ins and outs of what lead up to the game's main story line. It was announced that the comic would be covering many of the favorite characters in the franchise as well as some of the new "Kombatants. Read More...

Quan Chi Is Around In Mortal Kombat X To Make You Kill Yourself
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of October 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
The next character revealed for Mortal Kombat X is Quan Chi and we have a nice look at all the variations he will bring to the game It's been about two months since we had a full character announcement for Mortal Kombat X so it is about time to see a new character. Yea, we did kind of get Goro announced but that doesn't fully count as NetherRealm and Warner Bros. didn't give us any information on the character outside of being pre-order DLC. We need a full character announcement with variations and Kombat video to go with it. Read More...

Looks Like Mortal Kombat X Will Let Us Kill The Tax Season Blues
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. Wait a second… Goro isn't an announced character for Mortal Kombat X is what I am sure you were thinking if you didn't look up and see the image or embedded tweet below. Read More...

Kano Has Been Fully Announced For Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of August 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
It has now been fully announced that Kano will be gracing us in Mortal Kombat X with three hardcore fighting styles It was all but confirmed that Kano was coming to Mortal Kombat X last week via a German magazine sharing a few screens for the character. Now, as promised, Ed Boon has full announced Kano will be making a comeback to Mortal Kombat X even though he will be a bit older and relying on his cybernetics to not die right away. It really looks like NetherRealm is pushing that "in the future" aspect of the game doesn't it? So what do we get to look forward to for Kano in Mortal Kombat X? Read More...

Did We Just Get A Kano Slip For Mortal Kombat X?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A few new images for Mortal Kombat X have cropped up online and it looks like Kano is up next for reveal The internet can't keep anything sacred and fun for reveal and the latest Mortal Kombat X outing speaks directly to that. It looks like a few screen grabs from a German magazine have found their way from the editing room to the internet and it pretty much confirms Kano as a returning fighter to Mortal Kombat X. It sure looks like Kano and the brief description in the bottom corner looks to be all about his "Wrestling-Kano" fighting style. Unless this is an elaborate fake just in the build up to Gamescom. Sounds Like Guest Characters Could Be Coming To Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
In an interview with Mad Catz during EVO 2014 Ed Boon spoke about the possibility of guest character DLC for Mortal Kombat X It seems a bit odd to be speaking of guest characters for Mortal Kombat X when we only had the game's seventh main character announced during EVO here recently. None the less the people from Mad Catz decided to ask the question of "guest characters" during one of the live streams from the event even though Ed Boon mention a whole bunch of new characters Mortal Kombat X. It makes no sense to ask the question but they did and we got the answer of sorts. While it is not a confirmation of anything, Mr. Read More...

Raiden Is The Answer To "Who's Next?" For Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of July 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
During EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV it was revealed that Raiden will be a fighter in Mortal Kombat X Now we can take the fighter count to at least seven for Mortal Kombat X as Raiden has been confirmed to be coming back to the franchise. Not that big of a shocker (pun intended) as Raiden has been an iconic character much like Scorpion and Sub Zero have been over the last umpteen incarnations of the franchise lore. I could be wrong but I believe he has been in every version of the franchise in some form where as some have been left out for various reasons. I'm talking film and everything not just the games here. Read More...

They were announced at E3 but now have a closer look at the four new characters for Mortal Kombat X At E3 we were treated to not only two but four new characters for Mortal Kombat X and given a small taste of their combat styles and abilities. Just in case you want to have a closer view of each of these characters outside of the fast-paced cKombat we have a few new images to show you then. Well more one for each of the four new characters announced for the game already. If you don't know what Scorpion or Sub Zero look like yet then you may want to do a net search and kick yourself in the groin (somehow). Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Mortal Kombat X
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of June 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Mortal Kombat X In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Mortal Kombat X was teased and rumored long enough before E3 that it was no real big surprise to see it play out on the big screens during the press conferences. By no means am I saying it wasn't a treat to see but there was no real shock and awe moment as the game was fully announced. But that is really all that happened on the big screen leaving much to be desired beyond the long lines of fans waiting to see what Ed Boon had in store for us; not to mention the two new characters promised to be shown off during the event. But beyond that long line was much more than was to be expected… First and foremost was the fact that we got to see not only two new characters to the Mortal Kombat universe but we got to see four. As Suspected⦠Mortal Kombat X Is Now Officially Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of June 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
The countdown is over and Mortal Kombat X has been officially announced with a trailer and a few bits on gameplay After weeks of teasing and many "leaks" it looks like we got what was "promised" as Mortal Kombat X has now been fully announced. It even has a nice pre-rendered trailer to go along with it. At least it is assumed to be pre-rendered but the fact that it looks to be using the Unreal Engine 4 as a base and planned for the PS4, XB1, and PC as well as the "last gen" consoles, it might not be out of the realm of possibilities for it to be real time footage. Doubtful, but possible. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
An image of some promotional materials on Reddit may have outed the next Mortal Kombat via poster. UPDATE: Well it looks like a new Mortal Kombat is now mostly confirmed as Ed Boon has posted the following on his Twitter account after updating the look and icons to match the poster. Unless he is trolling us all it looks pretty confirmed. We'll know for sure next week when his countdown ends. Read More...

There are stretch rumors and then there are really stretch rumors like this one for a new Mortal Kombat to be announced just before E3.
