Lord Of The Rings Online Free-To-Play Goes Live Sept 10th

Looks like players of Lord of the Rings Online will not have to wait much longer for the highly anticipated Free-to-Play content update. Lord Of The Rings Online To Go Free-To-Play

Today Turbine and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment announced that in the fall their popular MMO, Lord of the Rings Online, will be introducing a free-to-play model. Turbine will be implementing a three-tier system (VIP, Premium and Free) that will put limitations on the non-subscribing members. Free members will still be able to access all four races, most of the player classes and all three starting zones. Read More...

LOTRO Expansion To Change Mount System, Making A Difference

With the new Lord of the Rings Online expansion, Siege of Mirkwood, set to release in less than two months, more information about some of the the enhancements have trickled out in the form of developer diaries. In one of the recent developer diaries, the LOTRO team discussed the revamped mount system set to release in this next expansion. Tuesday Turbine announced the release date and pricing for the second expansion for Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood.
