The Hunt Begins This Winter As Hunt: Showdown Goes Into Alpha Testing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Hunt The closed alpha test for Hunt: Showdown has been slated for this Winter and PC gamers will get a chance to help Hunt: Showdown become what we want By now we have seen a whole lot of gameplay for Hunt: Showdown and even with it coming to Early Access on Steam for PC gamers sometime soon, there are a whole lot of us who are just ready to dive in and give the game a good play and see just how it stacks up. At least I know I am ready to do that given all of the teasings that Crytek has given us for the game and now it looks like that is going to happen here soon-ish. I say that as it looks like Hunt: Showdown is getting its very own Closed Alpha test before it goes to Steam and you too can be part of it to help the team build a better game and give us just what we are expecting from it all. Let Us See Where Hunt: Showdown Is Currently At Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of November 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Hunt The dev team for Hunt: Showdown had a lot to show off for the game recently and we now have a good look at where Hunt: Showdown is in development You may have missed it over the weekend, but Crytek had a whole lot of Hunt: Showdown to show off to us in its current form and it was pretty damn amazing. Most of us out there have only had a chance to see the short footage out of E3 for the game and a little bit of gameplay here and there for it. The team took to streaming for a few hours here to give us all a good look and also for a good cause. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of October 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week And thus concludes another week in the world of video games. Another fun one out there and one filled with so many new releases and updates that it was hard to make sure we go to everything. Not only that but games like For Honor and Resident Evil 7 kept up the Halloween fix for the horror video games out there. That and that we had new reminders for Wolfenstein II and Assassin’s Creed Origins that will both be dropping next week. Read More...

More Details For Hunt: Showdown's Early Access Have Been Released
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of October 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hunt There is still no date on when Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Early Access, but now we know what part of Hunt: Showdown will be accessible Last week we heard that Hunt: Showdown was going to be heading to Early Access as Crytek keeps up the hard work, but outside of that announcement there was nothing else to go on. This of course led to all kinds of extra speculation as to what would be in this version of the game and just what players would get to experience. We even speculated that it would only be about what we have already seen in Hunt: Showdown to date with another beast to hunt down and that being it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of October 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one more week of video games in the bag with so much going on this week alone. Some of it in the news and update arena, but also some of it in the major game releases for this week and the next few that will be coming up quickly. Only a few more days until South Park: The Fractured But Whole is out and that is only if you have had time to hammer through the video games that came out this week. The Evil Within 2 and Shadow Of War were also on that anticipation list for so many gamers out there and then we also have Assassin’s Creed Origins the week after that. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Will Have An Early Access To Get The Hunt Underway Sooner
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hunt It has been announced that Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Steam with an Early Access to help Hunt: Showdown be the game the team wanted to make After the gameplay we had earlier in the week for Hunt: Showdown it would make sense that you are all amped up and ready to jump into the game and get out there taking down these huge hell-beasts. I have wanted to do that since I first saw the game's new version back at E3 when Crytek was showing it off. With no solid release date in sight for Hunt: Showdown on any of the platforms, it only makes the anticipation that much more intense. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Brightens Our Day With Some New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of October 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hunt New gameplay for Hunt: Showdown is here and it takes us through a similar play of Hunt: Showdown but with more light and tougher players New gameplay for Hunt: Showdown has been spotted out there and lucky for you we have tracked it down and brought it right to you here. This is not just some rehashing of the same footage we have had since E3 of this year, but a completely new play through with Crytek to show off how the game could look and handle in different hands as well as in different light. Different light in the way that this new look at Hunt: Showdown places the match in the daytime cycle of the dynamic weather the game will have. While it makes it easier to spot your enemies and opponents, it totally makes it a lot easier for them to track you down as well. Read More...

Look At Some Of The Tools Of The Trade For Hunt: Showdown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Hunt Another developer diary for Hunt: Showdown has been released to show us some of the weapons and traps we will use in Hunt: Showdown & how they were made We have all been waiting for more for Hunt: Showdown and now we have just a bit more as we have the next developer diary here to show off a bit more of the game. That and just a bit more on how Crytek has gone through the process to make it feel dirty and grimy and also with a bit of the real-world flair to it all. This is all something that we know they can do well already, but it is nice to get to see how they came up with the looks for some of the weapons and traps in Hunt: Showdown. Read More...

See How Hunt: Showdown Rose From The Ashes Of Another Burnt Title
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hunt The first developer diary for Hunt: Showdown has been released and goes into just how Hunt: Showdown came into existence from the fires of another title Hopefully by now you are aware that Hunt: Showdown wasn't always the game that we all were treated to out at E3 this year. In fact, it made its first showing during E3 of 2014 under a different name and gameplay style than we've also seen here recently. Due to all of the insanity going on over at Crytek during all of the down time until we heard about Hunt: Showdown moving on from Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age and trying to move forward. This is something that has completely been done based on what we all got to see, but maybe you'd like to see just how and why things went the way they did. Read More...

E3 2017 Impressions — Hunt: Showdown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of June 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Hunt While at E3 I was able to see Hunt: Showdown in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Hunt: Showdown. It's a bit odd but downright amazing that three years ago I was here to tell you all about a title called Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age and just how amazing it looked and how excited I was for it. Then there wasn't a single word on it and Crytek went through a few shakeups and it was thought to be lost to the games of E3 that never came. Now we jump to this year and after having a small announcement, I was able to see Hunt: Showdown rise up from the ashes that was the other title and get me excited for the game again to come to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. New Details For Hunt: Showdown Are Here & Coming At E3 As Well
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Hunt New updates for Hunt: Showdown have been released and it looks like some of the speculation about Hunt: Showdown has been true with more at E3 Not too long ago we saw a new title, Hunt: Showdown, pop up and not have much to go on but a lot of cryptic phrases and updates via the game's social media. Of course this led to speculation and a lot of it point to Crytek's title of a similar name being still in the works but under a new name. That one being Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age and something that was really cool to see a few E3s ago. Read More...

Hunt: Showdown Has Been Teased But Could Be Just Re-Branding
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hunt A new game called Hunt: Showdown has been teased out there but it could just be a re-branding of Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age What looks to be a new game called Hunt: Showdown has been teased out there recently that has piqued the interest of a few people out there. It is another title from Crytek in the works that looks to have two characters, or hunters in this case, team up to do what their title makes them do and kill evil things. That is at least the gist of it all based on the teaser trailer for Hunt: Showdown and the very short blurb of text to go with it. Not to mention a game site and social media content that does little to nothing more to tell us anything about the game and what we can expect. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Manhunt Manhunt & Bully have popped up on the EU PS Store via PS2 'backwards' so we can all experience the joys of Manhunt yet again Seemingly out of nowhere it looks like Manhunt and Bully have popped up on the EU PlayStation store for purchase on the PS4. Yes these two PS2 classic titles from Rockstar Games are the next on the list for the "backwards compatible" titles that we were told would be coming. Not only coming but given a high res treatment and throwing all of the new features that the PS4 has into the mix for both titles. This includes a Platinum trophy for both Manhunt and Bully for those hunters out there. Read More...
