Horizon Zero Dawn's World And Story Has Been Expanded Even Further Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of January 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new cinematic trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released to show off more story for Horizon Zero Dawn as well as enemies and allies Up until now we've pretty much seen the same bit of Horizon Zero Dawn over and over. We get Aloy running around and hunting in the same general section of the world that Guerrilla Games has put together for us and her to explore. I know I was personally getting a little tired of it and concerned for Horizon Zero Dawn as it looks like this was more or less the bread and butter of the game. Especially when we see that February 28th is quickly approaching and so little had been shown off for the game so far in terms of story, other parts of the world, and if there would be any other enemies and major NPCs for Aloy to interact with instead of the few that we've had since E3 of 2016. Let's Scan Some More Horizon Zero Dawn Screenshots Before Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of January 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new batch of Horizon Zero Dawn screenshots have dropped as a nice gift before Horizon Zero Dawn and for the new year In just about two months now we will be getting to load up Horizon Zero Dawn on our PS4s and a lot of us couldn't be more excited. Not only does the game look great but it is a new IP from Guerrilla Games and we all know we need more of those as rehashing the same old will keep the industry truly stagnant. Of course, just being new isn't something that will make Horizon Zero Dawn sell but it is something that we always enjoy sinking our gaming teeth into. Even if we've seen similar types of games and stories like this out there. Read More...

The Secrets Of The Past Will Reveal More To Horizon Zero Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of December 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has released and it focuses on the story of Horizon Zero Dawn's protagonist and the culture and world she has grown up in We've all heard the story of Horizon Zero Dawn a million times before. It's a classic story of world ends, girls grows up in it, and there are huge mechanical animals and dinosaurs roaming the planet that we have to deal with. Wait…not really a tale we've heard a million time here and it looks like Guerrilla Games is adding to it in their own special little way. At least that is all how it seems from the latest trailer and developer diary for Horizon Zero Dawn. Read More...

Horizon Zero Dawn Is Truly Creating New Worlds For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of November 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Another behind the scenes video for Horizon Zero Dawn has released and this time we get to see how Horizon Zero Dawn's world was crafted for us We've seen some of the world of Horizon Zero Dawn but now it is time to have a look at a bit more. I mean, we've been told that it is going to be a massive one and given that we all know Guerrilla Games for the Killzone titles it may be a bit hard to get a solid grasp on it all. Not to say that those worlds were not huge in their own right, but for Horizon Zero Dawn we need something truly massive as we have an action RPG of sorts to play here on the PS4 and we can't be limited to the normal sizes of FPS titles out there. Also, now we don't have to keep speculating until February 28th on all of this. Read More...

Horizon Zero Dawn Is Looking Even Better On The PS4 Pro Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of November 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn New screenshots for Horizon Zero Dawn have been released showing off about how nice Horizon Zero Dawn is going to look on the PS4 Pro Back in September we were shown a bit how Horizon Zero Dawn will be using some of the new PS4 Pro features to look even better on the system. We were also assured by Guerrilla Games that those who didn't have the Pro or a 4K TV were not going to miss out on much, just some of the great advantages that these displays can give us. Now we have a few new screenshots to look at here to see just about as close as we can to what Horizon Zero Dawn will be giving us on February 28th 2017 given that we have the ability to show it all off as well as it has been crafted. There is still some time for that so don't start to freak out just yet. Read More...

The Machines Of Horizon Zero Dawn Are Ever Evolving It Seems
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of October 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new behind the scenes video for Horizon Zero Dawn is out there to show off more of Horizon Zero Dawn's machines and ecology February 28th is still a ways off for Horizon Zero Dawn to hit the PS4 but it looks like things are still evolving and changing for the game as it continues to be developed. Of course this isn't anything new to the development process but it does look like Guerrilla Games is continuing the evolution of their machines in the game just as nature intended. At least the nature of Horizon Zero Dawn as it looks in the following behind the scenes look at the game where the team goes into detail on how each of the machines has changed over the course of the cycle here. Have A Look At How Horizon Zero Dawn's World Once Was
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of September 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn out of TGS is here and it shows off the world of yesterday in Horizon Zero Dawn before it came crashing down At many conventions now we've seen the current state of the world for Horizon Zero Dawn. It is filled with all kinds of robots and it looks like Guerrilla Games has set it up to look as if nature is still trying to take it back while humans are just trying to survive. Of course the world of Horizon Zero Dawn couldn't have always been that way and it should have been assumed that there was some level of high tech before it all. It makes perfect sense and in the latest trailer out of TGS we get a look at just how the world was before the fall or whatever happened to it all. Read More...

E3 Hands On â Horizon Zero Dawn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of June 2016 - 03:00 PM ]
Horizon While at E3 I was able to see Horizon Zero Dawn in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Horizon Zero Dawn. A good portion of what Sony has on the floor here at E3 happens to be just what we saw during the press conference and the same pretty much goes for Horizon Zero Dawn. We have another live demo put on from Guerrilla Games just for us but the only difference is that afterward we we allowed to actually put hands on with the game still waiting to launch on February 28th of 2017 on on the PS4. Of course it wasn’t of any new portion of Horizon Zero Dawn we have yet to see but that doesn’t change the fact that we got to actually play the game. Read More...

Horizon Zero Dawn Has Been Delayed But There's A New Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of June 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn The release date for Horizon Zero Dawn has been reset and we also have a new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn's protagonist Aloy The wait for Horizon Zero Dawn just became a bit longer as it looks like the game has been pushed back to February 28th of 2017. The PS4 title made a huge splash at last year's E3 and it looks like Guerrilla Games is going to do it again to make sure we don't lose faith in the title. We're just going to have to wait longer for Horizon Zero Dawn and that should be fine for all of us. It's not like we don't have a slew of other titles out there to hold us over until its new release date and such. Read More...

April Fools: So It Begins With The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of March 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Over the weekend 'The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure' was 'announced' from Guerrilla Games. So April Fools Begins… I guess we are letting the 'fun' of April Fools begins early with The Killzone Movie: A Helghastly Adventure. Just in case you missed this, over the weekend this 'announcement' was placed on Killzone website for all to see. I personally think someone pulled the trigger too soon on posting this up on their blog but here you have it; the first of the April Fools' jokes that you all know I love so much. If this is not an early April Fools joke then I am a monkey's uncle. Read More...

Story Time: Killzone Shadow Fall
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of October 2013 - 01:11 PM ]
Here we go with yet another Story Time for and upcoming title. This time we have Killzone Shadow Fall coming for the PS4 here in the next few weeks. Just a small title that is being touted as the Resistance for this generation. As an F.Y.I. Resistance was pretty much the only launch title for the PS3 that was worth the money paid to pick it up. Hopefully this rumor or statement is just along the lines of 'this will be one of the best FPS titles that will be out for launch on the PS4' and not just the best title for launch. Anyways, let's dig into the story of Killzone Shadow Fall with the trailer. Read More...

Review: Killzone 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of March 2011 - 07:11 PM ]
Here we go again. It's time to try and end this conflict between the I.S.A. and the Helghast once and for all. Picking up right after the events of Killzone 2, we are thrust right back into the mix of it in Killzone 3. All to meet the end of saving Earth from the new tech and tactics of the Helghast who are still hell-bent on doing just that. Outside of being a continuation, Killzone 3 is also one of the titles that Sony seems to be relying on to show off their tech and hardware capabilities. So outside of pleasing fans of the franchise, Guerrilla Games and Sony have a lot on their plate as far as expectations. Read More...

Story Time With The Helghast Of Killzone 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of January 2011 - 02:02 PM ]
So here is further proof that an FPS can have a good story mixed in without the need for multi-player being the selling point. I mean let's face it, Killzone is not the franchise that all you multi-player freaks hop right out to go play. Don't you even try to deny it or swear that you do. You know just as well as I that is not true. That being the case obviously there has to be another great pull to the franchise to help sell millions of copies. It for sure isn't going to be the Move capabilities. Read More...

Killzone 3 Trying To One Up Uncharted 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 03:28 PM ]
While it might not seem like it, since they are all Sony developers, it looks as if Guerrilla Games is trying to do just that visually. That and just recently the Senior Producer of Guerrilla Games said as much. But knowing that from the start doesn't help me grab your eyes and thrust them to these new screen shots for Killzone 3. At least new as in Hi-Res as most have been seen already as online scans. Pretty much what you would expect so far am I right? Read More...

Killzone 2 Review [PS3]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2009 - 02:18 PM ]
A Review of Killzone 2 For The PS3 While technically the third in the series, as it follows after the events of the first Killzone and then the PSP game Killzone: Liberation, we'll still go with it being a sequel. And like a sequel, there are some massive improvements to the game from the first. Not only graphically, but in functionality as well as storytelling aspects. Let me explain each in their own section so you can have a good idea of how each played in. The Good: The graphics of this game are stunning. Read More...
