This Week In Video Games 11/13/17 â 11/17/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of November 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with another great week of video games in the bag and so much more to go on with. Even as we head into the "big lull" where everyone is just playing what they currently have or are waiting for titles that we will not see until next year, we had a good chunk of news and updates to cover. We even had a chance to get our review of Horizon Zero Dawn's latest expansion out there for you. All while enjoying what we have for Injustice 2, Far Cry 5, and Final Fantasy XV in the mix. Montana Has Been Beautifully Recreated Just For Far Cry 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of November 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 A new behind the scenes video for Far Cry 5 is here to show us how much of Montana has been recreated just for Far Cry 5 By now there should be little doubt that Far Cry 5 is going to look amazing on February 27th when it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unless Ubisoft has been going out of their way to only make the small demos look impressive and the gameplay videos are overclocked, it is going to be an amazing looking game. Not just because this is one of those franchises they work to make look visually stunning, but because Far Cry 5 is finally mirroring a real-world location and that just happens to be something that the team over there can do very well. I'll point you all at the Watch Dogs franchise if you were questioning any of that as both of those are insanely well done to give a true feeling for the towns and locations they are set. This Is How You Will Be Spending Your Time Inside With Far Cry 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of November 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Far Cry New details for Far Cry 5's co-op and multiplayer gameplay is here from Paris Games Week as well as a new look at the cult of Far Cry 5 If you were worried that Far Cry 5 was not going to have some kind of multiplayer component mixed in, then let me put that worry to rest for you as it has now been shown off out at Paris Games Week. Yep, Ubisoft has given us a look at the "multiplayer" aspect that we can all look to enjoy when the game hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 27th. I say "multiplayer" as it looks to be just co-op in Far Cry 5, but that could be something just for this reveal and a full multiplayer could be on the way with the full game as well. Read More...

Far Cry 5 Has Forced Baptismals & Fishing Mini-Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of August 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 New gameplay for Far Cry 5 is out there from Gamescom and it shows off some of the mini-games of Far Cry 5 as well as other ways to save the innocent If you wanted more Far Cry 5 then you have it. In fact, we have a whole lot more of the game here in terms of gameplay as Ubisoft takes us all on an extended look at some of the current gameplay being floated around out there to show off many other aspects of the game. It has been released here for Gamescom, but as it sounds, this is a slice of footage from back as far as E3 when they were showing off Far Cry 5 during that show. None of it was seen by me personally so I have a feeling it was all "behind closed doors" or for "privileged media" to experience, but now it is here and adds in a few things that we may or may not have wanted for the game. This Week In Video Games 6/11/17 â 6/16/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of June 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There we go with one of the busiest weeks in video games we usually have for the year. E3 has come and gone and there was so much to take in from the event as well as outside of it all. The press conferences had a lot to show us but that was only a fraction of the video games that were out there and we have many more to cover for you. Sure we had a chance to talk about Days Gone, Far Cry 5, and many more. Read More...

E3 Hands On â Far Cry 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of June 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 While at E3 2017 I was able to see Far Cry 5 in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Far Cry 5 from E3. Given all of the hype around Far Cry 5 and the big announcements just before E3, it is not too shocking that it was on the show floor and out there to be played and experienced to our heart's content. At least as much as Ubisoft had for us, which was a nice solid look at the Heroes for Hire function of the game that will be a big push. We are now up to five in Far Cry 5 and maybe more before it launches on February 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of June 2017 - 04:00 PM ]
E3 2017 Can't Be At E3 2017 Or The Ubisoft Press Conference? We Have You Covered With The Live Stream Straight From E3 2017 Not everything is going to be on the show floor of E3 2017 and because of that we have these huge press conferences and here we go with Ubisoft's huge event just before the doors open for us all. Just as the games and announcements they have for E3 2017 not all of us will be able to be there on the show floor to see them as well. Thankfully we live in the age of live streaming and we can watch the press conference through multiple online avenues. Read More...

Here We Go With My E3 2017 Wish List To See Out There
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 2nd of June 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
E3 With E3 2017 about to hit us, I figured it would be high time to get my E3 wish list out there in hopes to see a few titles during the event The biggest gaming convention E3 is right around the corner and excitement is building towards the event. Starting June 13th E3 always brings the biggest announcements and surprises in the gaming industry. This is my wish list for the event of what I hope to see this year at E3, in no particular order. The Last Of Us Part 2 Earlier this year Naughty Dog showed off a trailer of The Last Of Us Part II which showed off a bit of the story and how much time has passed since the first game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/22/17 â 5/26/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of May 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week of video games in the bag and it was a huge one that was un expected indeed. I could have sworn it would have been a silent week given the proximity of E3, but it looks like they had to get all of the Far Cry 5 news out there to get us all hyped up for the video games still to come in the next few weeks. That and keep our minds off the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 a bit and then be excited to see that LawBreakers is heading to the PS4 as well now. Mix in the Xbox Game Pass and other little bits we had and it was a pretty damn solid week for us all. Read More...

Welcome To Far Cry 5 And All The Insanity That Waits For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of May 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 The official trailer for Far Cry 5 has landed and we have a whole lot going on in Far Cry 5 than previously thought to be going on The time has come and here we are with the full showing of Far Cry 5 as we were all promised. The official full trailer for the game has dropped to give us a feel for Hope County, Montana and it looks like Ubisoft went the extra mile to not only give us that but also a few more trailers to give us a feel for the other characters in the game's world. Oh, and also the fact that Far Cry 5 will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 27th on top of all of that. It is such a big day for this title that it feels like it would be an E3 announcement, but apparently there will be a lot more of all of that during the show. Read More...

Far Cry 5's Tone & Theme Is Defined A Bit More By New Art
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 New art for Far Cry 5 has been revealed and it looks to set a twisted religious tone to Far Cry 5 that seems to be all the rage as of late Another new tease for Far Cry 5 has been let loose on the world today in the way of some new key art or cover art; depending on who you talk to about this. We still have a bit of time until we get to see the first full trailer for the game as Ubisoft is still aiming to give this to us on the 26th here, but that doesn't slow down their need to tease us and have us all digging into everything for any little bit before the full reveal. Yes, there is already speculation about Far Cry 5 here based on just this one shot that does mirror a bit of what we saw back with Far Cry 4. Read More...

Far Cry 5 Is Ready To Welcome To Hope County
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of May 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 New teaser trailers for Far Cry 5 have popped up online and all point to the location with Far Cry 5 getting a full trailer by week's end We've only barely caught wind that Far Cry 5 is coming before the end of the fiscal year and now it looks like the date for that could be a lot closer than we thought. No, we don't have a release date for the game just yet, but Ubisoft is teasing it pretty hard right now with a full blown trailer promised by the end of the week. If that doesn't state that they are close to having Far Cry 5 near completion, then it is a weird choice to start so soon. Read More...
