More Options, More Missions for Mass Effect 2
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2010 - 10:43 PM ]
Well it is all over now folks. Michael will finally have his wish as a new DLC will be coming for Mass Effect 2. In this DLC BioWare will be introducing Kasumi Goto, the galaxy's most enigmatic and cunning master chief, err I mean thief. Not only will players be able to recruit Kasumi in new missions, players will be able to to utilize her special abilities as a member of Commander Shepard's squad. Aaryn Flynn, Studio General Manager of BioWare Edmonton commented, “Mass Effect 2 is BioWare's highest Metacritic game to date, and we are excited to be able to expand that experience by introducing another engaging new character in Kasumi. Kasumi – Stolen Memory is a testament to our promise to continue to provide fans with new, compelling, high quality post-launch content. Read More...

Review: Dragon Age: Origins Awakening
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 22nd of March 2010 - 03:50 PM ]
Disclaimer: Before you continue on to reading this review, I want to say a couple of things. If you have not played Dragon Age: Origins, I highly recommend you do before playing this expansion. While it is playable as a stand alone on consoles, you will be doing yourself a huge disservice by not playing through the original storyline. Second, play through all current DLC on the main game as well before importing your character into Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, as you will not be able to go back and play through that once your character has gone through the Awakening storyline. It has only been four months since Dragon Age: Origins was released by Bioware, and already they have released one DLC (Return to Orzammar) and now we have the first full expansion pack, known as Awakening. Now this is what I like to see, more DLC not too long after a game's successful release, absolutely free. BioWare is continuing this trend of rapid-fire assault on the XBox Live and Games for Windows Marketplace by providing some brand new armor and weapons for the Normandy Band of Brothers (and sisters.. and krogan.. and asari.. Review: Mass Effect 2
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 8th of February 2010 - 09:31 PM ]
*Disclaimer: If you have not played Mass Effect, then I urge you to play through it before reading this review, as it will contain some spoilers from the first game. After the original Mass Effect, Bioware had a tough job on their hands. They made an excellent game, but one that was hampered by complaints from the players. So during the two plus years since the original, Bioware has spent their time making the necessary changes. The final result is leaps and bounds ahead of the first. Read More...

The Launch Of Mass Effect 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of January 2010 - 12:29 AM ]
So the launch of Mass Effect 2 is only a few days away now. So how does BioWare and EA want you to get excited for it? Well in the epic movie trailer type of way. At least this is how it seems from the new trailer for the game that was just unleashed on the gaming community. Man is it an epic video too. Honestly my words won't be able to describe the clip as well as just watching it. But if you still have yet to skip past my words to the video, let me sum it up. Read More...

Stay on Target...Stay on Target...
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 12th of January 2010 - 05:51 PM ]
I'm a Star Wars fan. and I'm also a huge MMO fan.  So since the announcement of Star Wars the Old Republic the MMO, I have been digging and watching everything I can to get anything I can about this game.EA CEO John Riccitiello had a conference call and a press release to update their future fiscal prospect in 2010 yesterday (numbers, numbers, blah, blah, blah).  As you all know EA is a powerhouse this year and has tons of games heading for the shelves this year, and it's going to be hell to catch up with them all (but stay tuned because we will cover them).  John Riccitiello did give us a bit of news that had ears around the internet buzzing:"One key driver is going to be the launch date of our major MMO. EA Announces New Dragon Age Expansion - Awakening
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 5th of January 2010 - 08:14 PM ]
Dragon Age: Origins, just the title alone symbolizes an epic story of friends, questing, and plenty of Darkspawn.  For those players that have conquered this 40+ hour campaign are already enjoying the multiple content downloads that EA and Bioware have given the community.  So it is no suprise that EA has announced the release date of the new expansion pack for Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.“Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening shows BioWare’s commitment to our fans by delivering new story-driven experiences which enrich the dark heroic fantasy universe our fans have come to know and love,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager of the RPG/MMO Group, EA, and Co-Founder, BioWare. Review: Dragon Age: Origins
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 15th of November 2009 - 04:00 PM ]
Dragon Age: Origins is the latest RPG to come from the well respected developer, Bioware. They have long been known for their deep stories, engrossing characters, and way of involving the player in the game by forcing one to make difficult decisions that affect everything around them. So anyone picking up Dragon Age knows what to expect for the most part, and will not be disappointed. Dragon Age: Origins is a dark fantasy game set in a land, known as Ferelden, where the Blight is at hand, and Darkspawn are quickly taking over. You begin the game as your choice of race and class, and set on your own origin quest. Read More...

A Mass Amount of Content?
by Kevin [ Saturday, 7th of November 2009 - 01:45 AM ]
There's no real way to hide from a collector's edition. Every game is going to have one, and if you disagree - it's only because you have yet to find it. Mark my words. This edition is supposed to be limited in quantities, though I would wager that there will somehow be more copies trickling in after the initial rush. The fun'o'plenty pack is going to have a tin case, a hard cover "Art of Mass Effect 2" book, an issue from the Mass Effect Redemption comic and a behind-the-scenes DVD. Bioware is also saying that there will be unique in-game weapons and armor that can only be obtained by purchasing this edition. Read More...

Mass Effect 2 Gets Dated
by Ben Brody [ Sunday, 18th of October 2009 - 04:36 AM ]
Mass Effect 2 now has a solid release date: January 26, 2010. While it's anybody's guess whether or not it actually comes out that day, it can be safe to assume that EA would be idiots to announce such a specific release date then push it back (again). Then again, we've all seen stranger things. The game, which is a direct sequel to 2007's Mass Effect, still features commander Shepard, who for some reason has lost all his abilities from the first game, trying to figure out why large colonies of humans are mysteriously vanishing (geth maybe?) The game will take place 2 years after the first Mass Effect (and was originally supposed to be released 2 years after as well, but who wants to go up against Modern Warfare 2). The game will utilize your save-data from the first game, converting any decisions you may have made for better or for worse. Read More...

by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 16th of October 2009 - 05:07 PM ]
As if there hasn't been enough stuff popped out from the beast that is Dragon Age: Origins. First we get the character builder, then we get the social networking site. The game isn't available until the beginning of next month but BioWare is already working on a 2D project slated for sometime in October to wet our appetites. Blood, monsters, and character sheets, all in classic 2D! Dragon Age Journeys: Deep Roads is being created by EA2D, a new studio out of the EA franchise that specializes in flash based games. The Age Of The Dragon Is Drawing Near!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 13th of October 2009 - 08:19 PM ]
As previously announced by the Dragon Age: Origins team, the character builder is finally available for download Here. After spending many hours with this game demo at Comic-con this year, and finally getting to see what I am going to make my "first character" look like is quite exciting. It's a little taste of things to come. Players who download the Character Builder will be able to select everything from Gender to Class and see the talent trees we will have to choose from. I must warn you though, the guys over at Dragon Age really outdid themselves this time. Read More...

A possible leaked trailer for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was released last night.
