Customization Is What We Have Wanted In Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2014 - 01:04 PM ]
A new video for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released and it shows off quite a bit of the customization and skills we will have when it comes to Arno Apparently co-op and customization is what we all have been wanting when it comes to Assassin's Creed Unity. That is at least what Ubisoft is focusing on in the latest "walk-through" video that has been released for ACU. I could have sworn that we all wanted a great core game with an amazing story that was started in Assassin's Creed with cool features that show off the era that the game is taking place in. Maybe I am out of touch with the core gamers who play nothing but Assassin's Creed titles and are the ones that are the driving force for Assassin's Creed Unity being made? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new Co-op trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released to show off why you need the brotherhood and multiplayer here If you needed to see another reason for the co-op multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Unity then let me submit to you the latest gameplay trailer released from Ubisoft showcasing just that. Well at least to some degree as to why Assassin's Creed Unity is a multiplayer at heart for the PS4 and Xbox One this November. That may be stretching it a bit there too. Read More...

We've Boosted Some New Assassin's Creed Unity Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity showing off the Heist Co-op mode Before when I made comments on Assassin's Creed Unity looking more Thief-like by the day, I was just goofing around. With the latest gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like I am more and more on par; the most recent video of course covering the new Heist Co-op play mode for the game. This makes it so you no longer need to be assassin's but are rewarded on how much better a thief you are than a killer. The bigger difference is that in Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like Ubisoft nailed the gameplay mechanics that were lacking in other's titles… Unlike the game that will no longer be mentioned, Assassin's Creed Unity's heist mode will pit players to traverse areas to attempt to steal some item from said area. Looks Like We Are Getting One More Assassin's Creed Title This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has just announced a new collection of titles for the Assassin's Creed franchise titled the Birth Of A New World - The American Saga launch before the newer titles Just in case you didn't think you were going to get enough Assassin's Creed this year with Unity and Rogue launching in November it looks like there is another set of titles coming just weeks before the one-two punch of those titles. All on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC at that. This new addition to the franchise is Assassin's Creed: Birth Of A New World — The American Saga although it really isn't a fully new addition to the universe but a way to get caught up on all the lore and events leading up to Rogue/Unity. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week of exciting video games news has come and passed and we are all a bit wiser and stronger for it all. Okay, maybe I wouldn't go that far as to say that but at least there was a whole lot to have covered this week in gaming. Hey, this week we even were able to cover something out of the film industry as it happened to be 100% involved in gaming here. That would be the release of the Heavenly Sword CGI film which we also were able to review. Read More...

We've Hunted Down Some New Assassin's Creed Rogue Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue and it looks like Shay has some work cut out for him We had a few images for Assassin's Creed Rogue yesterday and now it looks like we have a bit more gameplay to show in video form. Not only has a bit of gameplay but it looks like a bit more of the game's story has been mixed into the footage as well. Granted it isn't much more than we already know but one thing it does seem to stress upon is that Shay will be hunted just as he is hunting down the assassin's in Assassin's Creed Rogue. This no begs the question of how all of this will play together in the final product and story here. Read More...

It Looks Like Assassin's Creed Unity Is Becoming More Thief-like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released from Gamescom and it looks like there is more stealth action included Earlier today we had a look at Assassin's Creed Rouge's naval gameplay now we have a look at Assassin's Creed Unity and its new features to the franchise. In this case it looks like there are more and more features that are turning Assassin's Creed Unity into what looks like a Thief mod for the franchise. At least since there are new stealth modes, the need to pick pockets, and also pick locks. All things that make sense for Assassin's Creed Unity but just feel like more mechanics added just to be added. Read More...

Naval Combat Makes A Huge Return In Assassin's Creed Rogue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Two new gameplay demos for Assassin's Creed Rogue have been released and show off the new and upgraded features of naval combat So it looks like Assassin's Creed Rogue is coming out strong at Gamescom here and with its imminent release date approaching the dev team took time to show off the new and improved naval combat system for the game. This was an amazing feature that I thought made its real debut in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but it looks like Ubisoft is just pushing things further by taking us into uncharted waters, pun intended, with different locations that we can sail in. Below you will find both the videos for River Valley and Arctic locations we will get to sail and kill through. Read More...

Rob Zombie's French Revolution Is The Best Telling Of Assassin's Creed Unity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of August 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Here is Rob Zombie's French Revolution based on the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity from Ubisoft Just before SDCC we caught wind that Rob Zombie was going to do an animated film based on Assassin's Creed Unity and the French Revolution that take place in the game. I was a bit ecstatic but also a bit concerned given the fact that a lot of what I love about Rob Zombie's work in the past is something that I would think Ubisoft would be a bit hesitant to embrace. Especially when he gets teamed up with The Walking Dead's co-creator (Tony Moore) to illustrate what he does best; horrid gore and blood. Sounds like an amazing team up to me but like I said I was worried they would get hamstringed. Read More...

Assassin's Creed Rogue Is Fully Announced And Not Your Normal Assassin's Creed Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of August 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Rogue today with a CG trailer and a few interesting details A little while back it was rumored that Assassin's Creed Rogue was going to be the last of the franchise on the "last gen" consoles. Well at least that was all based on an online gaming store's slip of showing the pre-order a bit early. There wasn't much to go on besides that and I let it pass as just another small tease that would lead nowhere. Looks like I was wrong as Ubisoft has now fully announced Assassin's Creed Rogue. SDCC Experience: Assassin's Creed Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 05:01 PM ]
I was able to unleash my inner assassin during Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC 2014 We spoke about the Assassin's Creed Experience a few times before it was unleashed at SDCC last week. This would be the huge parkour course that they set up outside of Comic Con to allow fans of the franchise to see if they could handle the same stuff that Arno may need to do in Assassin's Creed Unity. It was gimmicky but it was also a blast to be able to run through. This isn't the first time that Ubisoft has brought something Assassin's Creed themed to Comic Con but it definitely was the most interactive. Read More...

See Assassin's Creed Unity's Arno Parkour To Save The Fiery Templar
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of July 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
In a new trailer today Ubisoft showed off how masterful Arno is in Assassin's Creed Unity as well as a new Templar, Elise If you are a fan of CGI trailers then we have a new one here for Assassin's Creed Unity with a bit of added in for all of you Ubicollectors out there. It depicts the main protagonist, Arno, racing through Paris and against time to save someone from the horrors of beheading. That someone also happens to be another central character to the overall story of Assassin's Creed Unity; Elise: The Fiery Templar. This is all in an attempt to further the basics of the story for Assassin's Creed Unity as well as push the new novel being written for Assassin's Creed Unity by Oliver Bowden. Read More...

Let's See How Far Assassin's Creed Unity Has Pushed The Franchise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of July 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A new Assassin's Creed Unity developer diary has been released to show off how powerful the new engine is We've seen a bit on how awesome Assassin's Creed Unity is going to look but here we have yet another look. Not only that, but a look at how all of the other aspects of Assassin's Creed Unity have been improved over titles in the franchise's past. We are talking AI as well as level design here people and it is something that I think all of will not riot or call for the heads of the game devs making the game. Kudos Ubisoft! Read More...

Just In Case You Won't Be At SDCC Here's The Assassin's Creed Experience Course
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of July 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Here is a look at the Assassin's Creed Experience obstacle course set up for SDCC So if you can't make it to SDCC this week or just San Diego in general here is what that Assassin's Creed Experience is going to look like. Not only do we have an image of the course but Ubisoft has put together a nice little video showing off what convention goers will get to run though all for the fun and an exclusive shirt at the end. Here is a look at all of that Assassin's Creed Experience goodness from an aerial view. I am completely stoked that I will be able to get a chance to put my gaming skills to the real test with the Assassin's Creed Experience. Read More...
