The Blood And Metal Of God Of War III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 09:26 AM ]
It is a well known fact that in God of War III you will be taking on huge bosses and traversing large environments that are literally the titans themselves that are suppose to be helping Kratos in the upcoming finale to the God of War storyline. If you had no clue of this, go back to Utah because that is apparently where you are from. Either that or read a bit more on this epic game. For all of you out there that know what the fuck I am talking about, you have been waiting to see what some of the levels will look like. Read More...

Resident Evil 5 Gone Gold Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 10:53 AM ]
Here we go again... again. This is where the year of "Capcom forgetting how to count again" starts. At least this time when it starts it has a nice new video showcasing some of the stuff that will make us shell out more cash for games we already own. Like say, Sheva in a little red ridding hood costume and Chris looking like something from a Mad Max film. Not to mention all the extra story that justifies RE5 going into another gold phase only a year after the first version came out. From this video, I can actually see the worth in getting the DLC when it becomes available, but not a full new version of the disc. Read More...

Review: Bayonetta
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 15th of January 2010 - 08:07 PM ]
I went into Bayonetta with much enthusiasm, but still approached it with caution. Was this another Japanese action game that relies on a sexy female protagonist and forgoes gameplay (see Onechanbara)? No, Bayonetta proved itself to be so much more. Bayonetta is a witch trying to remember her past and stop the resurrection of Jubileus The Creator.  She fights angels and other angelic beings from Paradiso. She fights with a variety of melee weapons while dual wielding pistols in her hands as well as another pair attached to her heels. Read More...

How Did That Naughty Bear Get So Naughty?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of January 2010 - 01:00 PM ]
I've bet you been wondering the same thing since hearing about this game haven't you? Haven't you? You have heard about this twisted teddy bear game right? Looks kind of like Fairy Tale Fights with a bit of upgraded 3D graphics and just the same amount of cuddly, twisted humor. You know. Naughty Bear! Well if you haven't, then here's a link for you. It will tell you how the game seems like a mixture of Manhunt and cuddly bears all wrapped into one awesome game. Read More...

Final Fantasy XIII And Lady Bad Luck
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of January 2010 - 04:18 PM ]
Don't Panic! I've always wanted to start off with that. But as it says, don't panic. There has not been an announcement of a delay, set back or some other event to hindering Final Fantasy XIII from dropping on time. It is just a reference from the new trailer below. For once the characters of the story actually see how everything is happening in a string of bad luck. Now, if only they could reference the horrible voice acting that seems to be plaguing this new trailer. The trailer itself is just another great montage of scenes and voice acting from the English version due to come out in two months. Read More...

CES 2010: BioShock 2 Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of January 2010 - 07:08 PM ]
At this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV there was loads to show off in terms of hardware. At least as gaming consoles and gaming computers go. But what about some of the software that was shown for all of us gamers? Like a real hands on with the multiplayer of BioShock 2. Not just spiffy videos. Well this was one of the games that was being showcased for all who attended and found there way out to the IGN and Sprint trucks hidden in front of the convention. Let me start off, as I usually do when it comes to multiplayer, not a big fan of it. In fact with this title, I was loathing the fact it was having multiplayer added as it generally ruins the single player game. Read More...

EA shutting down multiple online servers
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 6th of January 2010 - 09:34 AM ]
Below is a list of games that will no longer have multiplayer support as of February this year.  EA says you can play these titles up until the actual shutdown date.  Community programs could shut down earlier, depending on circumstances.  A little surprise for you football buffs, Madden 09 is on this list for a February 9th shut down date.  What does that mean, that means you're gonna have to shell out some cash for Madden 10 if you want to get online and get your fix.Be sure to note which platforms are being shut down, not all titles are being shut down on all platforms, so make sure you take a good look as to which platforms will no longer be available. Well, with holidays comes gifts of some sort and the fine folks at Naughty Dog are at it again. We all know how Little Big Planet when released for the Playstation 3; winning awards left and right and managing to win Game of the Year in many publications like GamePro, Edge and Eurogamer. Review: God of War Collection - GoWII
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of December 2009 - 10:49 AM ]
Continuing from the God of War Review from a few weeks ago, the beginning part of the Collection, we bring you God of War II. Which as you would think, continues the story of Kratos and his fight against the Gods and Titans from Greek mythology. Only this time with a little bit more twists and a quasi surprise ending that some could kind of see coming. At least if you know your mythology. Before I get to much further in, let me answer a question you may have. Read More...

Dante's Inferno Is Taking The PS3 To Hell Early
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of December 2009 - 10:42 PM ]
So in a time where exclusives can greatly help a console system, as long as the game is going to be a big one, it looks as if Sony just landed themselves half a big fish. A fish that is showing up on the XBox and the PSP as well. But it looks like the best version of Dante's Inferno, the game I'm talking about, is going to be on the PS3 and only the PS3. The next best part, FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST TO US GAMERS. Yea you read that, now love it. Read More...

Q&A with Vigil Games on Darksiders
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 10th of December 2009 - 09:50 AM ]
Only weeks away from the highly anticipated launch, Darksiders is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure that puts you in the shoes of one of the famed Four Horsemen.  Light and fluffy, I know, but after a couple years since its announcement, Vigil Games has positioned themselves and the game in a very advantageous position in the dawn of the upcoming year.  Also not hurting is the fact that the game looks to be shaping up like it's going to blow your mind.Haydn Dalton, lead designer of the game at Vigil, took a few moments to answer some of the burning questions surrounding the game.
