The Mass PAX Effect... 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 5th of September 2009 - 04:16 PM ]
PAX isn't even in full swing yet and already the new shots and images are pouring in. Not just from the lesser known titles either. But the major ones too. Like this little game you might have heard of, Mass Effect 2. Maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't. Then again, you may have been living in an underground bunker with your parents since the 1950's and missed out on everything up until now. Cookie, online, if you catch the reference there. All humor aside now. Read More...

PAX Hands On Impression: Aion
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 5th of September 2009 - 11:16 AM ]
Arriving a bit late to PAX 2009 in Seattle, Washington and finally entering the Washington State Convention Center. The first game that I went and found was not what you would think. No, it wasn’t to the Blizzard booth to play more World of Warcraft. Instead I headed to the NCSoft booth to play their new Massive Multi-play Online game, Aion. Making a character was easier than I thought it would be and the customization was a lot more detailed as well. After making my female warrior for the game and logging in, I found the cut scene for the game action packed and was very interesting to get into. Read More...

Gate Jumping From PAX
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2009 - 07:07 PM ]
Even though you may not have been able to make it to PAX this year, for what ever reason or another, don't think you are going to be left out in the dark on fun content updates. Fun content like new screen shots and the fact behind Jumpgate Evolution from Codemasters. Like the ones that we swiped on placed here for you. You know down below, where they usually on when we bring up the fact that there are new screens. This MMO looks very interesting from the facts and images here though. Read More...

Assassinating Never Looked So Good
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 03:52 PM ]
As Ubisoft promised, just before PAX we are given the little gem of an Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay video. Why they did it before, I have no clue. But I'm not going to complain and neither will you after you get to see how awesome the new game has shaped up. So many more improvements over the first Assassin's Creed and so many new features added, not that the first one was rubbish. It wasn't at all. Ubisoft just did the sequel very right. Read More...

Dark Days Are Continuing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 12:31 PM ]
While Funcom has stated they were going to finally be showing more of their new IP, The Secret World, that doesn't stop stuff from being slipped out to cause a stir around the net. This time it is the continuation of the trailer we brought you way back in April. I'm sure you've seen it by now. It is the one with the random hot chick drinking a milk shake, going into her apartment, and then being attacked by mister bondage face. Ring a bell? No? Read More...

With all the news flying out of Gamescon, you are no doubt thinking about PAX just 2 weeks away. For those of you lucky enough to attend, PAX will offer many unique experiences and plenty of time to go hands-on some fall releases. If you are going to be in attendance, I encourage you to visit the Torchlight booth (#872) and tryout one of the sleeper hits of E3 last June. X-Blades Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 4th of September 2008 - 05:38 PM ]
South Peak Interactive was on hand promoting the upcoming hack & slash game, entitled X-Blades.  It’s developed by Gaijin Entertainment & TopWare Interactive, and features a scantily clad main character, named Ayumi.  The basic premise of the game is a button masher with an attractive female protagonist.  I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, so I will share my impressions of the game with you.   It was a very easy game to pick up and just jumping in and having fun killing the monsters. Left 4 Dead Hands On
by Andy [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2008 - 07:48 PM ]
Many great new games are coming out this upcoming holiday season and fortunately for me, I had a chance to play some at this year's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). One of the must talked about games, Left 4 Dead (L4D), was available to play at Valve's booth. Throughout the whole convention, the L4D booth was packed to the gills with people eager to kill some zombies. You may hate me after I say this, but I got to play it 2 hours in advance of the general public. But don't hate me too much as I wouldn't have been able to play it otherwise. Read More...

Saints Row 2 Hands On @ PAX '08
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 2nd of September 2008 - 09:37 AM ]
After playing the first Saints Row for more hours than I can possibly count, I’ve been extremely excited since the announcement of Saints Row 2 coming in 2008.  After one delay, which has pushed the game back to October 14 2008, I about lost my mind.  But I would not have to wait that long to at least get a test run, and this is where PAX 2008 comes into play.    After a short five minute play through during the media time on Friday, I knew I had to get back and play the full first mission of Saints Row. Sunday, I got to finally get a full session in and take in the experience of Saints Row 2. Read More...
