Review â White Night
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of March 2015 - 01:01 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review White Night. Is it the next best thing in horror? Does it use the black and white aesthetic correctly? Here's Our Video Review The release of White Night has come and passed and it felt like OSome Studios' title kind of flew under the radar for most. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse and in turn a full look at the game on the PS4 so we could put it through its paces. The original concept and videos show painted White Night in a very specific picture to me but did it fully hold up to what I expected? Well that is what the following video review is for. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of March 2015 - 03:01 PM ]
Deep Silver announced a new development studio under their wing and that they are at full speed developing Homefront: The Revolution For those who have been wondering about the status of Homefront: The Revolution, wonder no more. Deep Silver announced today that they have a new developer on board and they are hard at work to knock Homefront: The Revolution out of the park next year on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux platforms. The developer here being Dambuster Studios which was founded in July 2014, in Nottingham, UK, and is comprised of a majority of veterans from Crytek UK. We Have A New White Night Coming Into The Gaming Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of February 2015 - 01:01 PM ]
White Night, a new survival horror title from OSome Studio, has been announced and is coming to the PS4 in March and other platforms in April Some of you may have heard of White Night as it was technically announced back in 2013 during the Game Connection Europe show. Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of the game though as it was only really shown to the press and potential publishers for the title. Yea, White Night kind of had a small announcement back then even though it did win a few small awards but we can treat this new trailer below as the official announcement for the game. A nice, new take on the survival horror genre using a black and white theme coming to the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Read More...

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Is What Quantic Dream Was Teasing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of January 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is being released for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android as well as looks like the big tease that Quantic Dream and Aspyr had for us Remember last week when we brought up the tease that Quantic Dream had for us for this week? Well it turns out my second thought on what was being teased was pretty much spot on as we have Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming out tomorrow (1/29/15) for PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS with an Android version to follow sometime soon. So I guess it is much less a tease than it is an announcement with extremely little lead in time for anyone out there to clear out their backlog a bit to give Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered a solid play through. I guess all of the fans of the franchise won't care about something like that though and will just throw their $9. Read More...

How To Get Stuck In An Elevator In The Talos Principle
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of December 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Pirates of The Talos Principle will find out quickly how Croteam punishes them for trying to snag the free copy of the game There is nothing funnier than when someone gets caught doing something wrong and I think this pirate of The Talos Principle takes the cake today. It looks like Croteam has again taken steps to fight piracy of their games and in this case it looks like it was more subtle than their immortal pink scorpion of Serious Sam 3: BFE. Another great classic that not only punishes the pirate but also kind of forces them into the spotlight of internet shame as some complain them as bugs. In the case of The Talos Principle that is just how it happened. Read More...

Wander â The Non-Combat Based MMO For The PC & PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of November 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A few new details for Wander have been released for us to better understand the MMO that is all about exploration and not combat That's right we have a non-combat based MMO title coming soon called Wander. It is all about the exploration and story here and it looks like it could fill a niche that has yet to be tapped in the MMO genre. I have a feeling that you all are flipping your lids in one direction or the other here for Wander now and wondering how this will all work when it launches in March for the PC and PS4. Good thing you have me. Read More...

The Black Glove Is Now Coming To The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for The Black Glove and PS4 support has been announced from the former Irrational Games devs Looks like there has been another huge update to The Black Glove even though the Kickstarter campaign is still about $400,000 short of being funded. It looks like enough people have asked for it and The Black Glove is also slated for a PS4 release on top of the PC release already stated. Of course that is if they get funded or find some kind of outside funding if the campaign fails. I guess all of those people excited for The Black Glove better get funding the project or better get hoping that Day For Night Games can get the project complete without the high asking price. The Black Glove Is What Is Next For Those Ex-Irrational Games Developers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of October 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A new game called The Black Glove is in the works from ex-Irrational Games developers, Day For Night Games, and they need you help to get the game finished Back when Irrational Games was winding down and people were losing jobs over there, there was a big question as to what was going to become of some of the people who didn't move along with Ken Levine. There is still not much know except that a small group from said team have now banded together to bring us The Black Glove. The team in question here is called Day For Night Games and it comprises mostly of those who were responsible for BioShock Infinite, that game's DLC, and the original BioShock. Read More...

Review: Anomaly 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of September 2014 - 05:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Anomaly 2 on the PS4. How does this little Real-Time Strategy/Tower Defense Game Fair? Watch and find out In the mix of all the AAA titles being released, announced, and talked about we had Anomaly 2 slip out onto the PS4 as a digital title. It is another title that looks to break the mold when it comes to genre as most still cannot define Anomaly 2 as a Tower Defense style game or a Real-Time Strategy title. In fact it has a mix of both play styles carrying the game on and into our gaming libraries; but should it enter yours? Lucky for you I had a chance to play Anomaly 2 through both in Campaign and Multiplayer modes of the game. Read More...

Superhot Looks To Be All About The 'Bullet Time'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of May 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A new Kickstarter campaign has begun for Superhot from Superhot Team. Yes, you read that right. It looks like we get to see yet another Kickstarter Campaign make or break development and this time it is for a title names Superhot. This is another FPS game made by a development team that also has the same name of the game; Superhot Team. It looks like this team is looking to get funding so they can finish what they started during 7DFPS. For those who don't do internet searches that is a 'game jam' where teams try to build an FPS title in under a week. Read More...

Looks Like Killbite Studios' Among The Sleep Will Be Coming To PS4 Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We can add another title to the PS4 library with Among The Sleep now. Once a Steam title, now a PS4 as well. If Among The Sleep sounds familiar then you might have heard about this game last year when it was trying to get funded through Kickstarter for PC, Linux, and Mac. It is a FPS horror title where you take on the role of a two year old child instead of some big badass cop or space marine. As if all the crazy horror stuff wouldn't be enough; am I right? Well, the news here is that today it was announced that Krillbite will be bringing Among The Sleep to the PS4 as well. Read More...

Mind Freak Title Neverending Nightmares Needs To Come Sooner
by Andrew "Irradiccus" Franks [ Monday, 14th of April 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A brief history of Neverending Nightmares and what it took to bring us an amazing demo and release window. An artist can always use his bleakest moment to shine, they can take the pain, the agony, distraught even the misery they accumulate then create their unique masterpiece with blood, sweat and tears. Matt Gilgenbach’s latest accomplishment Neverending Nightmares is the result of this formula. Suffering from both OCD and depression he wanted to create an experience that was personal to him; an experience that allowed you to step into the shoes of those who suffer from these mental illnesses. We sit down and review Race The Sun from Flippfly on Steam. What's more fun than a futile high speed chase to keep yourself from dying? The gentlemen at Flippfly have given us just that with Race The Sun, a simple yet difficult racing game where you must avoid walls, spires, fish, blocks, and even shadows to delay your imminent death. Review: Nihilumbra
by Kenton Winkfield [ Sunday, 12th of January 2014 - 02:53 PM ]
We sit down and review Nihilumbra. How does this quirky 2D side-scroller handle? As much as i enjoy a game with many difficult maneuvers and complex button combinations to master, a simple game is always preferred after a long day. But simple gameplay can make it difficult for a game to hold my attention, and keep me from getting bored. The people at BeautiFun Games have created the perfect game to fill that position. BeautiFun Games is a 7-person indie development company located in a city just outside of Barcelona, Spain. Read More...

Review: Knock Knock
by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 16th of October 2013 - 06:34 PM ]
With Halloween just around the corner, I've wanted to play a creepy game. The problem with this is I can’t seem to find a game creepy enough to send chills down my spine, while not scaring me away from the game every five minutes (it's been a few months since the last time I played Amnesia). Thankfully, the fellows at the Russian development studio, Ice-Pick Lodge, have created a game to fit my personal chill levels without scaring me away. Knock Knock is a 2D side-scrolling survival game set in a single house in the middle of the woods with a single resident. The game was started by Ice-Pick Lodge when they "received an anonymous e-mail which suggested that we should produce some 'unconventional' game based upon the materials attached to the letter.
