Assassinâs Creed Origins Sets Out To Have The Largest World Yet
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of August 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed More gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Origins is out there and it gives us a better look at how large the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins will be A whole lot of information and impressions for Assassin’s Creed Origins seemed to have flooded out of Gamescom with many sounding based on the similar demo shown off in the recent past for the game. I am not saying this is a bad thing here at all, but this is what Ubisoft has been bringing around so everyone can have a chance to give it all a play before October 27th when it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, during the most recent event, we did get to see more of the inner machinations and scheming that will be going on with the power players in Assassin’s Creed Origins all to drive the story a bit more. A New Psychological Horror Games I Coming In The Way Of Inmates
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 25th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Inmates Another psychological horror title is in the works, Inmates, and it looks like Inmates will be bringing all kinds of terror just as we have seen before Out at Gamescom it looks like we had another announcement in the form of a game called Inmates. It may sound like this may be some kind of commentary on the prison systems around the world, but in fact this is a new psychological horror game from Iceberg Interactive that will be driving right on to the PC in a few month. The actual release date is not set down just yet, but it has been stated that Inmates will release in the next few months so take that as you will. At a $9. Read More...

Biomutant Is Announced & Bringing So Much To This Kung Fu Fable
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of August 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Biomutant A new title, Biomutant, was announced at Gamescom and it looks like Biomutant will be bringing the best in bionics, mutants, and Kung Fu in 2018 Get ready for another new IP to come to us all as Biomutant has been given the full announcement treatment out at Gamescom here in the way of a cinematic trailer. That does not do too much to show off this title from Experiment 101 in terms of gameplay, but it does show that THQ Nordic is still open to some amazing looking ideas and this is what we have here. Especially since Biomutant is listed as a Kung Fu Fable but it also includes the combination of mutant powers, bionics, and weapons in an open-world action RPG. Read More...

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Is Getting A Bit Crafty
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of August 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
South Park More gameplay for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been released for Gamescom & it goes into more of the crafting system for this South Park game Last year at Gamescom South Park: The Fractured But Whole had a nice showing of the game at the state it was at that also came with a 4D experience of being able to smell the farts that were being produced. It was something to say you did and it gave Ubisoft a chance to spend more money promoting a title that was later delayed for almost another year. This year, as I am assuming, they are playing it a bit safer and, assuming, they are showing off a bit more of the demo for The Fractured But Whole that was shown off at E3. Read More...

Far Cry 5 Has Forced Baptismals & Fishing Mini-Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of August 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Far Cry 5 New gameplay for Far Cry 5 is out there from Gamescom and it shows off some of the mini-games of Far Cry 5 as well as other ways to save the innocent If you wanted more Far Cry 5 then you have it. In fact, we have a whole lot more of the game here in terms of gameplay as Ubisoft takes us all on an extended look at some of the current gameplay being floated around out there to show off many other aspects of the game. It has been released here for Gamescom, but as it sounds, this is a slice of footage from back as far as E3 when they were showing off Far Cry 5 during that show. None of it was seen by me personally so I have a feeling it was all "behind closed doors" or for "privileged media" to experience, but now it is here and adds in a few things that we may or may not have wanted for the game. Assassinâs Creed Origins Gets All Cinematic Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of August 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed A new cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins has been shown off at Gamescom and it shows off some of the icons that Assassin’s Creed Origins could have mixed in Well, Gamescom is currently in full swing and it would make sense that we would get to see more for Assassin’s Creed Origins during the event given that it launches on October 27th here. It would be insanely strange if Ubisoft missed the chance to show off more for the game and they did not as it was one of the items that opened the event showing off more of the Xbox One X out there. They needed to show off just what they are capable to do there for Assassin’s Creed Origins as well as on the PS4 and PC so it makes perfect sense for now. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 â 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

Faith Is Restored With New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for Mirror's Edge Catalyst was shown off at Gamescom 2015 and it shows us all that Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be the reboot to the franchise we've wanted When I first heard that Mirror's Edge Catalyst was going to be a reboot of sorts for the franchise I was a little worried as I didn't think it needed a reboot. After my experience with it at E3 I was calmed down a little as it looked like DICE was going in the right direction even if it felt more like an expansion to the world and not a new title. After seeing what EA had to present for Mirror's Edge Catalyst during Gamescom here I think my worries are now pretty much faded away as even if it isn't going to be coined a sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst is exactly what I was hoping for back when it was called Mirror's Edge 2. All Kinds Of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Multiplayer Explained
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of August 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
Another long demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Gamescom 2015 has been shown off and it explains more on Mother Base and the FOB multiplayer aspect of The Phantom Pain Get ready for a nice long Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain session here today as we have even more gameplay and trailers for the game to sink our eyes into right from Gamescom. With under a month left until the game hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on September 1st and given all of the footage we've seen up until now you would think that Konami would hold back to give us something to experience firsthand in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but thus is not the case. What is also not the case is that even though we have another 30+ minutes of gameplay to spy on it still feels like Kojima Productions has a lot more added into The Phantom Pain that we haven't seen just yet as well. See Some New Single Player Battlefield Hardline Footage Right Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 05:01 PM ]
A 12 minute gameplay video for Battlefield Hardline has been released showing off the campaign mode and some new gadgets to use Up until now we have seen mainly the multiplayer aspect of Battlefield Hardline. We even had a nice long beta for the damned thing just after E3 this year. Well it would seem that EA and Visceral decided to show off the single player aspect of Battlefield Hardline at Gamescom this year. Of course this was all done via the PC version of the game so we can expect it to look amazing but any who played the beta know that it looks just about as nice on the consoles. But let's move on from that for now. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Directly following Gamescom we have the release of 37 minutes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay showing off how amazing it looks on the Xbox One There is no doubt that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks amazing and looks like it plays amazing. I have yet to actually get hands on with the game. If you were fortunate enough to make it out to Gamescom you may have had a chance to sit down and see the gameplay demo and see firsthand. If not…then you are going to luck out as we have said demo just below for all of you to sit, watch, and enjoy until the withes are done burning. When you get to the seven minute mark you may feel a bit of déjà vu as it is the bit with the godling we have seen in past The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay clips. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 8/11/14 â 8/15/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It was Gamescom week so as to be expected the gaming news came rolling in nonstop. We are still trying to recover and get everything we can out there for you readers. There were some ups, like Until Dawn getting revitalized for the PS4, and then there were some downs, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider being slated as an Xbox exclusive for a bit of time. Then again that is only bad news for those out there planning on playing the game on a PlayStation or PC so you can take that as you will for now. Another bit of interesting-ness in the world of gaming is that it seemed like there was a hard push for horror games this week. Read More...

Naval Combat Makes A Huge Return In Assassin's Creed Rogue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Two new gameplay demos for Assassin's Creed Rogue have been released and show off the new and upgraded features of naval combat So it looks like Assassin's Creed Rogue is coming out strong at Gamescom here and with its imminent release date approaching the dev team took time to show off the new and improved naval combat system for the game. This was an amazing feature that I thought made its real debut in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but it looks like Ubisoft is just pushing things further by taking us into uncharted waters, pun intended, with different locations that we can sail in. Below you will find both the videos for River Valley and Arctic locations we will get to sail and kill through. Read More...

Have A Look At How Terrifying Alien Isolation Is Trying To Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A new CGI trailer for Alien Isolation has been released from Gamescom showing off the terror that Creative Assembly is aiming for There shouldn't be any mistake in knowing that Alien Isolation is being slated more to the horror and suspense side of the franchise than the pure action schlop we've been getting. I've played through a bit of the game at conventions past and while it is now Silent Hills teaser it is a down right suspenseful title. At least that is the case based on the little bit I have played for Alien Isolation but I am sure that SEGA and Creative Assembly want to instill that fear that the franchise had so long ago.
