Now that the Bethesda event is done and over with, let's talk about that very underwhelming Bethesda conference this year Well, that was something. I remember when Bethesda said that they wouldn’t come to E3 unless they had something big. Of course, money and marketing will always win out over all else in the end. I live on the East Coast so I had to stay up till midnight to even watch it. I was just overall really disappointed with the whole thing. Read More...

With Minecraft launching on the Switch there has been complaints that Minecraft only runs at 720p there, but is there a noticeable difference? I think it’s time we had a talk. I recently read an article about Minecraft coming to the Nintendo Switch. I always like when a game can come to a new platform so that more people can enjoy it and as of May 11th Minecraft can be enjoyed on the platform. The issue came later when I saw many people complaining that only runs in 720p. After digging deeper, it seems that the power of the Switch isn’t to blame but unforeseen technical difficulties with the game. Read More...

Contrary to rumors going around about Tekken 7, but PETA isn’t the cause of the reason for occlusion of Tekken 7's resident marsupial Well, it looks to be true that Roger Jr. will not be in Tekken 7, but not due to any complaints from animal rights activists or any weird call from Bandai Namco in terms of development. While Google translate can be a bit dodgy when translating Katsuhiro Harada’s tweets; a bunch of uninformed journalism combined with the rabid Tekken fan base has led to a lot of misinformation to spread like wildfire in the fields of the internet. From what I can gather Harada and the rest of the team are just trying to make the best game they can. Read More...

It looks like Final Fantasy VII Remake & Kingdom Hearts III might miss their projected 2017 release. Sorry Final Fantasy VII fans There are some rumors that have existed for ages. One of which is so old I don’t remember where I read it was that the third installment of Kingdom Hearts would be released in 2013. The other has been around almost as long as I have been alive being that a remake of Final Fantasy VII would be coming. In the past few years these two things have actually been confirmed. All of us can be addicted to video games so let's discuss the Neil Robertson case and video games A news story that’s been popping up all day is of former world Snooker champion Neil Robertson’s addiction to video games. Some games like Dark Souls do have a strange addictive tendency with the rewarding sensation giving to a player after a long hard fought victory. I’m not a student of psychology though and this topic has been brought up enough over the years I have looked into it. My conclusion is that it’s not the video games that are addicting; it’s generally dependent on the type of person you are. Read More...

It's that time-old question of which is better for video games. Let's pro & con their ability to run our video games My original plan for this article was a thorough explanation of pros and cons of our preferred video games platforms. I could never finish it though because at the end of the day gaming is a lot of things but it should be fun first and foremost. Some people like mouse and keyboard over a controller. This doesn’t mean one is better than the other for video games, it just means some people have different tastes. Read More...

There is something going on with video games lately so let's talk about the horrible video games industry practices of late The video games industry is rife with shady business practices. Having people shell out sixty dollars for a game than thirty for a season pass or even more if there is a special edition of a game. This renders most reviews or opinions of a game worthless to the developer. They already have your money and that’s what they mainly care about; rightly so as this is a business. Read More...

We like to help everyone when it comes to gaming. It is time for a new gaming PC build from us showcasing Ryzen 5 1600X 6-Core I haven’t really written a gaming PC build in a while due to the stagnation in the marketplace. All that has changed with the release of AMD’s Ryzen CPU's. Vega will be released in the coming months as a refresher to their 400 series of graphics cards. I am more of an NVidia guy than a team red player, but AMD has done some terrific things with making 1080p, and VR gaming accessible at lower price points than ever. You can get a 460 for around $100 or less and play games like DOTA 2 pushing 60 fps. Read More...

The trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II has leaked out and we have it and more for you. Here's all the Star Wars Battlefront II details you need to know I admit I was really disappointed in the remake of Star Wars Battlefront. The game played fine but was lacking a lot of what made the older games fun. I mainly picked it up for my dad to play for a few hours because some of my best memories of when he and I would play Battlefront II and hoped DICE caught that magic again. Lack of offline really hurt the game for me because while I didn’t mind it having an online focus the fact that there was a $60 season pass withholding much of the game behind a paywall forcing you to pay for a subscription in EA fashion. We sit down and review She Assault Android Cactus and Western Press. It's time to duel! Reach for the sky! Here's our review of both smaller titles Last year a gem or two slipped past me and I never got around to reviewing them. You may have heard of these little games since they have gone on to garner much critical acclaim. I have since gone back and started playing them again and now they're ready for review. I am sure if you made your way to this article then you already know which games I am referring too, but if you don’t they are Assault Android Cactus and Western Press. Read More...

Things out in the rumor mill about Fallout are pointing to Bethesda announcing a new open-world Fallout game at E3 this year Sometimes it’s cool to wonder and speculate. When Bethesda did their first big E3 press conference they unveiled the long anticipated Fallout 4 in a mighty fine fashion. I was just as surprised to see them making it an annual thing with BE3 2017 confirmed just a few months ago. Now I wouldn’t expect them to keep showing up unless they have something huge coming. We sit down and review She Remembered Caterpillars. Beautiful, but lacking in fun. Here's our review of She Remembered Caterpillars She Remembered Caterpillars is an indie puzzle game that was released at the beginning of the year that I only recently discovered. It is developed Jumpsuit Entertainment, a small German team, and as far as I can see this is the team's first game together. I felt like it could do with a review. The gameplay for She Remembered Caterpillars isn’t anything special. Read More...

We sit down and review Horizon Zero Dawn. An open world, post-apocalyptic, robot dinosaurs hunting game. Here's our review of Horizon Zero Dawn In Horizon Zero Dawn you play as Aloy who grows up as an outcast, and an orphan, raised in the wilderness by a man named Rost. He teaches to how to hunt and survive in the wild. One thing that kind of bugged me on a personal level was the names that Guerrilla Games came up with. I get what Guerrilla was trying to do with “Rost” as rust, “Aloy” as alloy, but even simple names from people before the apocalypse have dumb names. Read More...

What does Mass Effect: Andromeda look like with less bugs? Hopefully Mass Effect: Andromeda's latest patch will show us Tomorrow (4/6) BioWare’s 1.05 patch for Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available. Down below I’ll leave a link to BioWare’s blog post with the patch notes since I’m going to only gloss over the big ones, and for the fact, I don’t play the multiplayer. The first patch note if “Improved Tutorial Placement” which to me seems odd since I don’t know how they could improve that and what was wrong with it. The opening for Mass Effect: Andromeda was very clunky in every aspect of the word but I felt that was more of a story problem than any oddly placed tutorials. Read More...
