It Is Time To Enter The Division's Open Beta

The Division

The open beta for The Division starts up this weekend and we have a few new looks at The Division as well as what to expect with the updates and additions to the game

If you forgot in the mix of all of the other betas, closed accesses, and all that jazz here recently then let us remind you that the open beta for The Division is going to be up and running here in a few days. Of course that all depends on which platform you choose to experience it on as Ubisoft is giving the Xbox One users a full 24 hours extra to play and experience The Division before the PS4 and PC gamers out there. Officially it all goes down on the 19th to the 21st or 18th to the 21st depending.

Some of you may have already had the pleasure of enjoying the closed beta for The Division a little while back but we will use this to also remind you that there is good reason to jump back in here in the next day or so. This won't be just a multiplayer kind of thing here as we will be getting a Story Mission added into the game play as well as the ability to play solo if so chosen. I am kind of curious on how that will aid in the server development for online play but I won't gripe as I'll be giving it a test drive over the weekend myself.

The Division — Open Beta

Jump into Tom Clancy’s The Division open beta from February 19-21 on PS4, PC and Xbox One. Also, Xbox One players can get started a day early with exclusive 24-hour early access beginning on February 18. Players on all platforms can preload the beta starting February 16.

If this isn't your first time playing The Division, you’ll be able to discover a new story mission that wasn't in the closed beta. Also, everyone who participates in the open beta gets access to a special in-game reward that can be unlocked in uPlay when the full game is released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 8.

If you are upset about the extra day that the Xbox One users will be getting over everyone else then get ready to get even more pissed off here. Not only will they be getting more "test time" but also all DLC that will be coming out for The Division will be hitting the XB1 platform a whole 30 days before any other platform. Even if you shelled out for that season pass worth of DLC. Looks like Ubisoft sold out to Microsoft again and those gamers are going to reap the rewards. If you want to look at it as rewards since you still have to pay for them.

Are you ready for The Division beta to kick off? Did you completely forget about it until now? Have you already pre-loaded the beta in preparation? How do you feel about the DLC being a timed exclusive here? Let us know what you think and discuss away in the comments below. As more on The Division is revealed or released by Ubisoft we will have the updates on the site. Be sure to keep checking in for more as it hits the pen market.
