Funcom Has Announced A New Single Player Game Called The Park

If you are looking for more horror to grace your PC monitors this Halloween then you are in a bit of a good place as The Park has just been announced to be on its way and just in time for the best holiday of the year. If you have not heard of The Park just yet don't worry as Funcom just announced it and that it is coming to PC in October 2015. The Park will be a single-player experience that will take us all for a fun ride, pun intended, through an amusement park after dark. Said amusement park also happens to hold some kind of sinister and dark secret that we will all get to help unfold and experience in The Park.

The only other real information for The Park, outside of the fun reveal trailer and a few screenshots, is that we will be taking on the role of a mother who happens to lose her son. While searching for him the night comes up, the lights go down, and we are left in The Park having to venture through all of the craziness that it has in store for us. It is also being mentioned that The Park is a short but intense horror story so I guess we can add that into the mix. Although it sounds like Funcom will most likely have some amazing story that we can all wrap up in a few hours to me. Maybe The Park will hold more than just that. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

I personally could only be more thrilled for The Park, based on what we know and saw so far, if it was not going to be a PC only title. I am a console gamer at heart and I love me some horror titles which The Park sounds right up my alley. Even if it is a PC only title I am still going to look forward to what else we may have in store from Funcom but there will always be that nagging part of my brain saying "skip it." I will not. The Park has both horror and creepy carnivals. I am a sucker for both of those by themselves so mashing them together sounds like a perfectly fun time. We'll just have to wait and see though…

What are your thoughts on The Park? Does it look like something that will truly drive terror into our hearts or is it still too soon to tell? Would the safer bet being to wait until around October until we have more to go on for The Park? Let us all know down in the comments and discuss. There will most likely be a whole lot more to come for The Park from Funcom as it has been announced and with such a short window of time they will want to cram it all out there. As they do we will have it all here so be sure to stay here for more on The Park.
