You Can Play Mortal Kombat X Now… In Mobile Form

It is less than a week now until Mortal Kombat X will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC but there is a way for all of us to play a version of it free as of right now. While it was thought that Mortal Kombat X Mobile was going to release sometime after the full version of the game it looks like NetherRealm has given it to us early. Yes, Mortal Kombat X Mobile can currently be picked up on an iOS device and soon on an Android device as I am writing this. We can all get a jump on unlocking all of those character skins and gain some faction points before we have Mortal Kombat X in hand to do the same. Happy day!

If you haven't been following along with the massive dump of info for Mortal Kombat X then here's the quick version but you can check out the following trailer for more. Mortal Kombat X Mobile is an app that will run similar to how the one for Injustice ran with a few tweaks just for the MKX universe. A huge difference is that you can perform X-ray moves as well as Fatalities in Mortal Kombat X Mobile all while continuing on the fight for faction dominance in the game. Also along the way you can unlock character skins for both the mobile and core version of Mortal Kombat X. Skins like Ninja Mime Johnny Cage and Farmer Jax.

Mortal Kombat X — Mobile Launch Trailer

As I said, Mortal Kombat X Mobile is only available on the iOS via the iTunes store at the time of this writing and NetherRealm has stated that it will be on Android devices via the Google Play store soon. Soon most likely being by the end of today (4/8/15) or the end of this week. At least that would be my assumption as it looks like they want to get the whole Mortal Kombat X ball rolling just about a week early. Let's not complain and just get to unlocking all of those cool skins and having a sample of what Mortal Kombat X Mobile will bring us before we pick up our fight sticks and go to town ripping each other apart.

Does the early release of Mortal Kombat X Mobile get you more or less excited for Mortal Kombat X? Are you tired of all of the marketing and just want the core game in hand? How many other skins do you think we will be able to unlock as everything progresses? Let us and the world know what you think down in the comments.
