StarCraft II Has A Release Date!

“We've been looking forward to revisiting the StarCraft universe for many years, and we're excited that the time for that is almost here,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Thanks to our beta testers (you're welcome), we're making great progress on the final stages of development, and we're be ready to welcome players all over the world to StarCraft II and the new Battle.net in just a few months.”

If you have been living under a rock for the past 10 years, the solo campaign for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will continue the story where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War. The story line continues with the exploits of marshal-turned-rebel-leader Jim Raynor and features both familiar faces and new heroes. Players will be able to experience choosing their own mission path, technology, and research upgrades that suit your own style of play throughout 29 missions. Mini-games, which is also included, is designed to help ease players into the basics of multiplayer strategies.

My Take:

All I can really say is this, “Hell, It's about time!” I know many of you, myself included, have been waiting for this game to come out, and the time is nearly here where we will get to continue the epic story that Blizzard has brought to us. This is going to be more epic than Chuck Norris, and that's saying a lot! I already have the collectors edition on pre-order and expect a review from us shortly after the game has been released. So what are you waiting for! GO AND PRE-ORDER THE GAME!!!
