Valve Releases Free Crash Course DLC

Left4Dead is also half-off on Steam until October 2nd, including the Four Pack which you can buy for you and 3 friends. Seriously, if you have purchased this yet, you owe it to yourself to put this in your hands.

Besides getting everyone in the know about this DLC being available, I wanted to touch on my asterisk in the first paragraph. If you are downloading this on the PC, this comes to you free of charge. If you would like this update for your Xbox 360 console, you must pay 560 Microsoft Points (roughly $7). I know this is most likely Microsoft's doing, but really, Valve should have stood up to this. There is no reason to charge for this, Left4Dead 2 will be out in a couple months and you'll get all that money then. This was simply something Microsoft could have and should have given to their console owners. Sorry you guys got screwed.

Left 4 Dead: Crash Course DLC Now Available - Save 50% on Left 4 Dead

September 29, 2009, 10:58 am - Valve

Crash Course delivers new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay and bridges the storyline between the No Mercy and Death Toll campaigns in the original game. To celebrate, we are offering Left 4 Dead at 50% off for 3 days. Or share the fun - get the Left 4 Dead Four Pack and give the game to your friends.

While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns.
