Mark Jacobs was the co-founder and general manager of Mythic and left EA on June 23rd 2009. Mark was not only a general manager but also a lead designer on Warhammer Online and Dark Age of Camelot! Mark will be replaced by Ray Muzyka who is the co-founder and general manager of the all powerful BioWare.
It looks like EA's restructuring their MMO/RPG design team to focus more on the hard hitting powerhouse that is BioWare. Of course with all the hype of the new Star Wars MMO who's really shocked? Rob was one of the co-executive producers on the Baldur's Gate series, the Neverwinter Nights series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect. Here's hoping that with the creation of this new development team we will see some great RPG/MMO's in the upcoming future.
