Capcom Confirms US Release For Fate/Unlimited Codes format that is the primary media used in PSP games. Capcom has promised a winter release at a retail price of $29.99.

Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable will feature Wi-Fi capability (Local ad-hoc only) to fight against others, additional characters, 250 missions, and mini-games.  With Eighting developing the title, the team behind Bleach: Heat The Soul series in Japan, this game is sure to be a solid fighting game experience on the PSP.

Originally a Visual Novel in Japan, known as Fate/Stay Night, it was adapted as an anime and eventually had Capcom pick up the license for Fate/Unlimited Codes, originally released into the arcades. After porting the game to the Playstation 2, Capcom will release the PSP port in Japan this June.

With a price point of $29.99 for digital download only, it seems that Capcom may be asking a pretty steep price point considering this is a portable title. This will definitely be a "test", as Sony has stated, on whether or not people will bite. They may have better luck with an IP that is more mainstream, but we shall see how things go.

For those who want to get a copy of the game early or just want to skip digital downloads period, you can pre-order your copy now at Play-Asia for $52.90. They also have an Accessory Set available for $29.90 which includes a case for PSP Slims/Lites, headphones and D-Pad covers.
