Activision Gets pwned By WSJ
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of May 2008 - 12:34 PM ]
Video: Guitar Hero IV Demo I was perusing Kotaku.com and stumbled across this little gem. I almost busted a gut when I watched the stuff leading up to the actual demo of the game. One quote in particular. I'll wait until after you watch the video before I slap it out for you. It is awesome. Here's the Video.     Ok, now that you've had a chance to watch the video, or at least I am making the assumption. Did you catch the quote, "This is the first time you will be able to play all the instruments," said by the Activision CEO Robert Kotick. Read More…

by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Wednesday, 28th of May 2008 - 07:21 PM ]
Next Generation reports Street Fighter IV for the PC is in the works, in spite of the PC not being considered the ideal platform for fighting games. They say the game will be released "this fiscal year," for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Street Fighter Website has a countdown timer, which reads two day and fifteen plus hours at this point, so it's possible that another revelation related to the franchise will be made before the end of this week. Ikki Tousen EF Coming to Japanese PSPs This Fall
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 02:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. [RUMOR] That I Hope Is True
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 12:16 PM ]
Resident Evil 5 Now Due Out In November? So first thing I find when I get back from a fun filled 3 day weekend is some great news. That it looks like Resident Evil 5 will be out for this holiday season. Well before the big on and after the appropriate one. Christmas and Halloween respectfully. Much better than the March of '09 release that was originally slapped on this title. Now why would this be the case? On the official Resident Evil Website a weird count down has been placed on the front end of the site. Read More…

You Are Rock Stars!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of May 2008 - 04:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero Expert Beats Dragonforce Record Score You have no clue how hard it was not to use the line from South Park for the title of this news article. No clue at all. But I figured I would get a bunch of hate PMs or The Hammer dropped or be called a Hater. :) (Search the blogs for the reference there. :) ) So yea, lets get on with this shin dig. Even though I have voiced a preference for Rock Band over Guitar Hero, it does not stop me from giving credit where credit is due. Read More…

by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 23rd of May 2008 - 10:41 AM ]
This may come as a surprise to those within the U.S. and Europe, as everyone knows how Nintendo holds the number one spot in system sales lately.  But does Nintendo hold that spot within it's home country of Japan.  Surprising to many outside of Japan, Sony's PSP is consistently holding that ranking according to the Media Create Software Chart.  How is it sustaining such a lead in sales you may ask.  Well the answer is simple for Japanese gamers, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, and since it's release, has helped the PSP reach and maintain the #1 Spot. Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges.
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 02:04 PM ]
"A celebrity is a person who works hard all his life to become well known, then wears dark glasses to avoid being recognized."  This is how JT treated him self when you watch him on any interview he would do about gaming.  With all his tricks and lies it was bound to catch up with him.  I assume there will just be another nut job who replaces his bag of tricks.   The judge who presided over Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges. Among the Florida Bar offenses for which Judge Tunis has recommended a guilty verdict:Knowingly making a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunalKnowingly disobeying an obligation under the rules of a tribunalCommunicating the merits of the case with a judge before whom the proceeding is pendingUsing means that have no purpose other than to embarrass, delay or burden a third personEngaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentationEngaging in conduct in connection with the practice of law that is prejudicial to the administration of justice, including to knowingly or through callous indifference disparage or humiliate litigants or other lawyersMaking statements that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless disregard as to the truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge     Thanks to GamePolitics. Castlevania & Pac-Man = COMING TO A SCREEN
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 01:57 PM ]
Variety has news that Castlevania & Pac-Man are set in stone to be made as "movies" for you and me to see while sucking down a drink and popcorn.  Will the movies suck is a big question many will have.  "Castlevania," a co-production with Universal's Rogue Pictures. Project, based on the Konami vidgame, is written by Paul Anderson ("Resident Evil") and directed by Sylvain White ("Stomp the Yard").  Other titles in the Grosvenor Park-funded slate include an adaptation of Richard Branson's memoir "Losing My Virginity," a bigscreen adaptation of vidgame "Pac-Man" and a sequel to John Woo's actioner "Hard Boiled"; company also controls the rights to Brad Thor's bestselling novels. </RETARDERY>
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of May 2008 - 12:30 PM ]
Yes this is going to be a rant. So if you don't like my views on the world, you might want to go to another news article. But this little tid bit brought me to an angry place and I needed to express my rage while giving the news. I'll give you a few moments to decide... Ok... Here we go. First let me explain a few things. When the PS3 and Wii came out, I was one of those guys sitting in line to pick up the console at launch. 76 hours of sitting in front of the local Best Buy with friends. Read More…
