Mark Wahlberg, the guy playing Max Payne in the up coming movie has said in a recent interview that he has never actually played Max Payne before.     "I got more responsibility now than I've ever had with the kids and everything else. I don't want to be spending 14 hours on the videogame and then eight hours on the set. It's not going to work out."   I think that if you're going to be playing a character you should at least play the game first to get a feel for the character. Read More…

by Nikole [ Tuesday, 5th of August 2008 - 09:15 PM ]
Three weeks ago during the Microsoft press conference at E3 the good people of Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be making it's way to the Xbox. This came as a huge surprise since it was previously thought to be a PS3 exclusive. The one condition of this deal, or so we all thought, was that an X360 version of FF would be exclusive to North America and possibly Europe. Well it seems there has been a change in plans. Recently at an exhibit in Taipei, Microsoft's Taiwan Entertainment head announced Final Fantasy XIII would go on sale on the Xbox 360 in Taiwan. Read More…

TF2 Gets a New Environment
by Andy [ Monday, 4th of August 2008 - 11:43 PM ]
Over at the official TF2 blog, Jakob Jungles said: One of the things we're looking at for the next update is the creation of a new type of environment for our levels to be built in. We're pretty happy with the way our environments have turned out so far, but as we create more and more maps with these achievement packs, we want our level designers to have more to work with in terms of giving their settings a unique look. The challenging part of this type of design process is in finding types of terrain and structures that provide an understandable, interesting set of visuals and at the same time staying within the constraints of what we want to do with gameplay. In addition to this, we want to be able to stay within the strengths of the engine that TF is built around. Read More…
