Darkness Creeps Into The Void
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of January 2009 - 05:04 PM ]
Dark Void Game Play Videos Not much to really report on here. The short and skinny of it is that Capcom has brought out some more game play videos for their new Sci-Fi Action-Adventure game. All of which are videos that got glanced over by all the other big things that Capcom was bringing out at CES. But what kind of a news guy would I be if I let something like this fall to the curbside. So with no further gilding the lilly, such a great phase, I will give you some more footage of Dark Void. by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 22nd of January 2009 - 12:02 PM ]
After the layoffs at 1UP.com and EGM a couple weeks ago, many wondered what the future would hold for the 40 some employees now without jobs. Fortunately for many of them, they banded together to start various new projects. As one of their fans, I've had the chance to witness and experience these new projects, and here is the basic rundown. Rebel FM&Eat-sleep-game.com: Former staffers Anthony Gallegos, Nick Suttner, Phillip Kollar, and others bring you the first project. Read More…

Lone Silent Survivor Syndrome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2009 - 06:06 PM ]
I Am Alive due by end of March - Ubisoft No this is not a sequel to or homage to Portal and the end song. It's actually a new game that is being released by Ubisoft. Yes I know, you've heard nothing about this game right? Most of us have heard nothing about this game outside of the original game trailer for the game. That's been out for a bit, but that is not the news here. The news is that the company bringing this game, Darkworks and Ubisoft, has it's new release date sometime within the first quarter of this year. Read More…

Especially since this one looks to be one of the best in the series. Nostalgia versions aside. I do wish I had more to tell you on this, like all the fun little details about the game. Having seen it already and such, but I fail to have a fact sheet and assets before me. Oh wait, I lied, I have the new trailer for this game. Read More…

REAL LIFE PORTAL GUN!
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2009 - 03:42 PM ]
Like most fangirls, Cosplay is a typical part of my geek life. Being a Valve fanatic, I gather every year at A-KON to cosplay with my fellow valve fangirls and fanboys for a weekend of fun, frags and photos. Last year I encountered many Chell cosplayers, but none of which had a gun from the game as realistic and inspiring as this. Emily, as I assume that's her name, struck big when her boyfriend commissioned her a Portal Gun for her Chell costume. Like many other's have already stated - Marry this boy!!! Read More…

Countdown To What?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2009 - 01:02 PM ]
Final Fantasy XIII Countdown To What? So there is no solid news about what is going on at the Final Fantasy XIII site, but there is now a counter on the front page, and a button to register to be informed of what is going to happen when the counter hits zero. It is obviously not a count down to when the game is going to launch because the counter ends in roughly seven days. But it could be something awesome given all the stuff that has been hitting Japanese magazines lately. My guess is that is a countdown to where you need to spread out the news of the count down to 13 people or Sephiroth will show up and give you a nice sword through the chest. Read More…

Hopefully Not A Bad Build Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2009 - 12:12 PM ]
PROTOTYPE #1 (OF 6) So a little while back, I hooked you up with some awesome pics and video of Activision's Prototype. One their new IPs out on multi-platforms. Well it looks like they are going to try to take a page from what, in my opinion, made Dead Space that much more awesome. Releasing it to multiple other forms of media to build up some momentum. As of right now, posted on DCComics.com, they are showing a 6 part comic line for this new game. Read More…
